    Anybody interested in having a meet in the Milton Keynes area? we could meet in MK then drive somewhere or meet somewhere and drive towards MK? just an idea, its a really nice area to drive in, nice roads i was there not long ago, it seems as if it might be a fairly neutral location for a lot of the east anglians and Londonians! haha, thinking maybe maybe may? what ya'l think? ive spent too many years building my car and not driving it[emoji36] would be really nice to just drive it amongst other zeeee's! So I've just finished a full rebuild, started the engine today for the first time, and the lifters are REALLY noisey, I'm hoping it's just a case of the oil not being fully pressurised yet and not all the way round the engine yet, I've only ran it for ten mins, tomorrow I'm going to let it reach operating temp and see if it stops, everything was installed correctly, so I'm baffled really, I'm hoping it quiets down once the oil is warm and thinner? Also there is smoke coming up from the engine bay either side of the engine, there are no leaks so I'm hoping it's just all the oil and wd40 etc burning off the freshly build engine? I'm just hoping for the best! Haha

Can somebody please just tell me im being a paranoid retard!, im in the process of rebuilding my engine and EVERYTHING has to be spot on (being an ocd freak!) and ive been messing with the timing for 2 days now! I have the original workshop manual and various tech pages on hand so i have all the info, but i can never get the crank sprocket to line up fully with the grove in the oil pump, all 4 pulleys are spot on but the crank is about half a tooth out! No matter what i do! But im pretty sure its okay, because when i had the heads off Tdc was acctually just before the grove if i remember correctly! And the tensioner was giving me grief! But ive got it set to aprox 4mm so it should be all good? I wasent sure where to bolt it down, because they have bloody elongated bolt holes?! Wtf haha do i have the lever it in then tighten or let it fall then tighten!?..help! Pics...
  6. sounds like my problem man, i changed my fuel filter which didnt really make a difference, havent cleaned my injectors yet tho, sometimes when it stalls will it not start again completly? until the next day! cuz thats what mine does! also even though it doesnt seem like its getting enough fuel does it drink fuel like a mofo!? cuz mine does!
  7. thanks alot guys il get on that and have a look at those things within the nxt few days, in the meantime i have to drive like an old man! i cant really take it over 3000 or im taking a chance!
  8. obviously by the title this is not good for any zed! but i have kinda identified the problem, there are wiring looms and wires with connecters at the back of the engine bay on top, if you look on your car you will see(il upload pics tmrw) but anyway when i try to accelerate hard or open the taps a bit the car just jumps then dies! i roll to a stop and sometimes i can restart it but sometimes i have to leave it overnight and it will start in the morning! (wierd) but anyway when i move these wires and jiggle them around the idle sound and speed changes, and when the car doesnt start completly il get sombody to fiddle with those wires while i turn the ignition and it will usually start! so i opened up the loom to see if the wires are damaged and a few are! not completly burnt through but a bit damaged, and i was wondering if these wires go to the spark plugs or somthing, cuz its just getting no spark, also now when i first turn it on i have to keep the revs at 1000 or it will die but if anyone has any ideas please help!!!!! thanks!!

Hi i was just wondering if anybody else's 300 has my problem, after driving for a while (not even long, bout 10/15mins) it gets REALLY hot! under the hood and from under the car, the temperature needle works fine and it DOESENT overheat it sits in the middle, but the heat coming from under the hood and under the car is really hot, like when i open the door and put my foot out i can feel the heat if im wearing shorts, and it just seems a bit weird, is this normal for a 300? or does anybody have or have had this problem??? help plz!

  12. hey , ive got a water leak in my radiatior but the garage told me the radiator is modified so they cant fix it, can anyone help me cuz i dont see how the radiator can be modified

  15. basically im looking to buy a bodykit for my zed and ive seen a few i like but i know theres loads out there, so can everyone post as many as theyve seen in here to help me decide :)! im looking to widen her a bit but not to extreme! has anybody seen the top gear where they have the purple 300 and get the smart people to burn it out, i love the body and side skirts on tht! cheers!
