i put a dual core 2.2 socet 939 in my A8V MOBO and 4Gb of ram but it only detects 3gb

anyone playing this at the mo ?

looking at most of the info on the net the A8V doesn't like dual memory, they say if you increase the voltage to them it should help. the only thing is i can't find anywhere to increase the voltage.unless i'm blind, i can't see it in the bios settings

holes are there and i'm using them as side lights

they are cyrstal ones, got them from danny ages ago

yeah i've sent them one, PSU is 520w or more can't remember but i did put a powerful one in

Vcore is at 1.422

what voltage do i adjust and what too

the chips are made by WinChip, just strange it's fine with two strips , just it dosen't see four

i think they are non ECC

these are double density chips

my mobo is the same as yours Andy

even tried mixing them up, still gave the same results

two banks it picks up 2gb, 3 still only 2gb and 4 still only 2gb
