Anyone got g312 dej or a cheap tt manual i've always said never go back but maybe once

  3. i'd go to the CAB , when i some problems they were really good and won't cost you , good luck
  4. this may sound daft but i've got a spare passenger seat (manual type) in good condition, as my driver seat is starting to look a bit sad is it possable to switch covers? my drivers seat is electric cheers
  5. whats going on with insurance? i just got my renewal , had the z 2 years nothing changed cept we're both 2 years older but insurance more than doubled!!!
  6. ha found the sod!! its one of the heater hoses just going to replace all of them now Paul
  7. seems to be round about gearbox/rear of engine, had passengerside metal pipe replaced last month and also phelem bypass went fine for 3 weeks then saturday clouds of steam again
  8. hi anyone know of a garage around the luton/dunstable area who knows about zeds got water leaking from somewhere so can't drive but can't find leak so need to get her looked at cheers
  9. thanks, so at the back of engine there are just the 3 rubber pipes that join the heater pipes to 3 metal pipes ( after the plenum bypass ) sorry to sound stoopid but going mad with these leaks
  10. is there anywhere i can find a picture or diagram of all the water pipes on a tt. Had metal pipe on the rear passenger side changed cos mine sprung a leak the did a head bypass went fine for 3 weeks now clouds of steam again, so i'm guessing the extra pressure in the new pipes is playing havoc with the old ones and am thinking of swapping all of them but not sure how many that is. cheers
  11. hi i'll have a go if i can
  12. having lots of cooling problems lately had the metal water pipes on back of engine changed when sprung a leak, but now week or so later (maybe 100 miles) steam from under bonnet again, when filling rad and squeezing top hose can hear what sounds like a leak round no.2 clyinder so i was going to try a plenum bypass but more i read and see more confused i get.seen pics showing 3 hoses from back of engine to (i think ) the turbos and somewhere else( yes i am this lost) but have aslo seen and read that you can block the small pipes off and still be ok .as i'm not sure this is the cause of the leak just looking for a easyish way of testing to find out. cheers
  13. was told by aa man who recovered me home that head gasket was gone (he did a sniff test which changed colour) was then told could be heater matrix(heater not working inside damp window wet on inside) .tried a matrix bypass starts fine no oil in water or water in oil but has a leak which comes out around gearbox after running for half hour or so (keeping water topped up) steam comes from back of engine (back right near battery) turned off and could hear bubbling and steam but could't see a thing.anything i can check or is head gasket gone?
  14. is changing hg possible diy job? done a sd1 rover and a mustang but compaired to z they were stone age
  15. thanks the aa man did a test with some blue liquid which turned green but will get checked out
