Theres an old saying that goes, "The law is an ass" Scots law is really mixed up ? Everywhere else there is two verdicts, guilty and not guilty ? In Scotland we have a third verdict, not proven. My wife Fiona`s mum was knocked down with a bus in 2010, suffered severe injuries and died 3 hours later in hospital through her injuries. It went to court this week and after a 4 day trial, guess what ??? Not Proven ! He walked totally free ! Please dont misunderstand me, I am perfectly sure he never woke up that morning and went out to run somebody over, and accidents do happen, but it makes we wonder !
