  2. thanks, having trouble finding somewhere that will resurface the flywheel so it looks like I might have to spend some money on a lightweight one. Reasons and excuses to baffle the wife with would be useful now.....
  3. http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/traveltax/ Cut and paste the above into your internet explorer bar and add your voice. The dialog below explains what it's all about. The government's proposal to introduce road pricing will mean you having to purchase a tracking device for your car and paying a monthly bill to use it.T he tracking device will cost about £200 and in a recent study by the BBC, the lowest monthly bill was £28 for a rural florist and £194 for a delivery driver. A non working Mum who used the car to take the kids to school paid £86 in one month. On top of this massive increase in tax, you will be tracked. Somebody will know where you are at all times. They will also know how fast you have been going, so even if you accidentally creep over a speed limityou can expect a NIP with your monthly bill. If you care about our freedoms and stopping the constant bashing of the car driver, please sign the petition on No 10's new website.
  4. cheers, hadn't got a link to that site
  5. Guys, had a look in the usual places and can't fnid an idiots guide to clutch fitting, twin turbo.net have a load of great guides but not for clutch fitting. I understand it's one of the few routine jobs on a 300zx but my mechanic is asking if he needs any special tools. A step by step guide would be a great bonus to be able to give to read through before he starts aswell. any ideas...? (my apologies if I'm being a plank and missing an obvious link or thread) cheers
  6. Has any tried or any experience of teh Japspeed exhaust system for sale on ebay - the seller is 2FAST2COOL and has dects and cta back systems for sale. The cat-back has a cross-over for 'better sound' is this right or will it sound like a tractor?
  7. Burst a hose and the AA man (once the hose was patched) checked coolant pressure which was only reaching 5-6psi (what is normal running pressure?)and then the blue water check showed that somewhere inside there is a gases leak. I suspect this is the head gasket which has probably cooked (thanks to a slow reacting gauge - must get some decent dials!) but any advice from you Zed heads to pass onto the mechanic would be very much appreciated. Its a 1990 Jap import TT manual - please help me fix my baby!
  8. cheers guys, if you don't mind me asking what did you pay (I want the job done but at the same time I don't wanna get buttfucton price) cheers
  9. where in Reading/ Thames Valley can I get some de-cats made up?
  10. Guys, please help..curbed my Zed a while ago avoiding a lane greedy lorry and have been to have a full algnment check 9once bent bits replaced - thankyou Andy Z. The matey said that the front nearside caster angle was well out of alignment and that I had probably bent something but I have had it looked at by a mechanic and there seems to be nothing wrong. What's confusing is that the nearside is in the centre of the arch and the off-side (which is supposed to be correct) is set forward in the arch and rubs on the inside of the arch when turning? Since most of you know a Zed inside out what could it be? or failing that where can I go (I live in Reading) to get it looked at by someone who knows Zed's.
  11. Guys, need some advice please, whilst avoiding a dirty great juggernaught wanting altogether to much road I rode up onto grass verge...lost the back end and then smacked into kerb other side at about 30mph hard (narrowly missing said juggernaught) with the rear nearside wheel. i know I have bent the lower arm and other than having scratched the feck out of the rear alloy what other damage should I be looking for in particular. i.e is there anything particualrly weak or susceptable to bangs like this. any advice much appreciated as I've only had the Zed 6 months and haven't found a mechanic zed expert in the area yet (Reading, in case anyone knows of one..) and it's off the road until it's fixed. cheers
  12. I live about 5 mins from J11 M4 so if it's alright with you guys I'll pop by.
  13. Please Help...I have an HKS EVC straped to my 300ZX TT but no instruction manual and absolutely no clue as to how turbo's work. Has anyone got a manual or knows how to use it, if so can we talk.
