  1. Hi All, One of the (many) things keeping me from getting the ZX back on the road is the current lack of a sound system. I already have a Kenwood head unit, and a reasonable sized amp. I have also sorted out the wiring to go under the carpets to the boot, and also the power lead though the inner wing and into boot too. What I need to do now is get rid of those black BOSE boxes front and rear, and install some new speakers, as well as getting hold of a boot install that RETAINS THE CAPABILITY OF STORING THE TARGA ROOFS. I'm not after a set-up that sounds like the Albert Hall, or one that could knock it down with the out-put. Just something that makes a half decent noise on the odd occasion that I get fed up listening to the V6 roar. I've done a couple of searches, but not come up with a step-by-step of how to make a new set of speakers fit in the hole left by the black boxes, or what to put in there to fix them to, or what shape/dimensions it should be. Any suggestions? And, is anyone getting rid of their old boot install to fit something wilder, and wants to sell? (I'll post in 'Items Wanted' too.) Thanks!! :)
  2. You're gonna be stuck at the Broadway, or on Hangar Lane, everyone is going to see you, and everyone will be thinking you've either borrowed your girlfriends car, or you are a HOMO:nelson: The MX5 is a nice car, but lingerie is nice too and you wouldn't wear that in public would you??!!? :x::tongue::rofl:
  3. Enjoy! The SV is a good bike, good fun. Stay safe.:D
  4. Very impressive, very talented..but...FUGLY, and a bit anal. Mind you, it is German so........ On balance, I hate it, but respect the guy's dedication and work.
  5. Hi Guys! Yup, it's me from old, and yes, I couldn't get back into my old log-on. All those wasted evenings talking absolute shite just to get my post-whore count up! Now I'm back at zero!:slap: So...... if there is any way for the MOD's to transfer details it would be most appreciated!!;):D Great to be back, and hopefully will be working on the ZX to get it back on the road again. I've already made a start by ordering some lights off markzx and a brake line and interior kit from Luke (glad he's still in business!) After those bits, I have some work to do on installing speakers (sodding BOSE set-up:xxx::smash: ) so I'll be looking for a boot install and someone who can get rid of those bloody black boxes in the doors so I can fit some proper speakers!. After that, it's just exterior cosmetics. Simple eh? :x::rofl: Life moved on...blah blah, changed my PC a number of times...blah blah, women, blah blah, no money, blah blah. You know how it is.... But every morning I opened my bedroom curtains, there was my poor ZX looking back at me from the garden. I can't stand the guilt, so here i am again :D
  6. All the best for a speedy and full recovery :)
  7. Awsome work 'stuffybum'! I remember all the early stuff, my, haven't you been busy! Lovely car, and best of all ..... Silver:bow::dance::D
  8. The inspectors are numpties :smash: I wrote off my first 300zx (nearly chopped the thing in half so no point buying it back ) When he turned up to look at it, he had to ask me what it was, AND how much it was worth!:headvswal:nono: I got over £6K back for it, so believed me!!:tongue:
  9. Signed, but it will not bother the F1 authorities - this is just more publicity and therefore money for the whole shambles.
  10. :hyper::dance: Proper racing - especially good seeing as it got Stoner to turn in to a whinging Auzzie!:D Sorry - going off topic there....
  11. Nevermind, it's MOTOGP next weekend - Much better racing, and far more entertaining.:dance:
  12. Jeez! Who the f*ck are these stewards, and which sodding rule book do they read? You can't accuse them of consistency! Remember the last race when Massa was released into the side of another car in the pits? Ferrari were accused of an unsafe release, and the stewards decided to look at it after the race.... and did nothing. Then, yesterday in the GP2 race exactly the same thing happened, and they gave the driver a drive-through!!:wack::smash: Corrupt or incompetent?
  13. Global warming is a major threat, but I also am still not convinced that it is either 1. - Man induced or 2. That we are capable of returning things back the way they were (and lets face it, things ain't all that different now, we ALWAYS used to have crappy summers, with the odd good week or two thrown in - we just had a couple of really good ones in the last decade) The whole movement was hi-jacked by the Greenham Common/CND/GreenPeace lesbians when they realised they had nothing left to whinge about after the cold war - and latched on to this 'mother earth' needs saving from the horrible MEN movement. The politicians (and especially USA) snubbed the concept until the lesbians had convinced enough brainwashed namby-pamby '90's' educated fookwits with environmental degrees and media studies certificates to back them and 'save our future generations' Then the politicians realised that the campaign had popular backing -you can't argue with the environmentalists when they use the 'do you want to die?' line - but they have a bloody hard job backing things up with any real hard evidence or reasoning when you question them! - I have to deal with this crap all the time in my job. Once the politicians were behind it - in our names - then they worked out how they were going to make trillions of dollars out of us for being 'guilty', and big industry have jumped on the band-wagon, no doubt with lovely jobs for the politicians when they leave their posts. Amen.
  14. Hey, sorry to hear about your incident and injuries. Front sprocket came off???:shock: NASTY! ....and how the hell did that happen? Someone been playing with it? I've had a LOT of bike accidents (hense the username) so I wish you luck in getting both you and the bike repaired. All the best!
