South Central Christmas
the thing is 1 most places are booked at the weekends for xmas meals 2 this is a fantastic venue 3 the price is well below it should be tbh yes a weekend time would be nice bud but its damn near impossible to find a "nice " place to eat now. if there wasnt soo much rubbish in my original thread i would have been able to arrange something at the weekend. yampiedog has gone out of his way to get this sorted for us which i am truely thankful another reason its in the week is due to the live entertainment that is being held that night too. imo it will be a worth while event to go to and something a bit different from the norm. sorry that its not at the weekend peeps but please try to attend if you can.

guys im choked. i really need to concentrate on getting myself back on my feet and the added task of trying to sort the meets out is not helping my cause. the role is something i have grown to like as its a great way to meet new people and make some good friends. over the next few months i have to scrimp together a few quid to sort myself out. (hate to say it but even considered selling my car!! but banging my head against a wall and a slap across my chops soon realised there is now bloody way im going to loose the car i have been wanting for such a long time.) thats life eigh lol. out of curiosity is there any of you who would be considering taking on the role as reo or wants to play a more active role for the club? btw yampiedog has arranged a great evening out for all of us at a lovely hotel. so get your names down!! gaz

Knock sound when going over bumps
front tension rod is one of the main causes for knock on the front but its usually on cornering!.. but jack it up and give all the joints of the multilink suspension a good look over. the upper links tend to squeak thats what ive got and its bloody annoying lol.

think its time for someone else to take on the role of S C REO. i've posted this in the reo section and i think i should tell you all too  . it really saddens me to say but i don't think i am fulfilling my role as reo. time and monetry expense is against me and i feel i am currently letting the side down. i hate giving up somthing i enjoy and i hope the next person that takes on the role will be more successful than i have been. the south central group are a cracking bunch of people thats why i feel i cannot let them down. i wish to thank EVERYONE for all of there support and attendance to the meets we have had so far. some have been right cockups but we got through it. i think of you all as my mates and i will still be attending the meets i can afford to get to etc. i will continue my role until someone else is found. sorry gaz

Electric drivers seat won't go far enough back
no i dont think so . it has to be something jamming it. the seats come out really easy its a case of 4 bolts and its out. may be worth taking it right out and taking the subframe off to check throughly . you may find its yen cos they are really small coins i found 4 coins under my seat in my jap import. may be worth a shot if not the seats may have been taken out in the past and the sub frame may have been installed incorrectly. there is a link between each side of the runners if they are out of line one side will reach its max be for the other and the seat will twist slightly. but this is also a sign of a coin jam so try the easiest option first lol.

cheers pk but i think its something to do with the hdd cos my old one boots up fine. im just upgrading to a 20 gb from a 6 gb. its a secondhand hdd but has been formatted. i just think that the partition which contained the critical info for bootup is missing and wont allow the cd to run for install. any idea of how to solve it. the laptop is old its a panasonic cf-71 pentium 2 300mhz i only really use it for datascan but a bigger hdd will be useful for pics etc.
