Turbo XS Bovs are very loud and sound nice, however you may find them to have a slight leak on the on the vacume side, As Dan said APEXI stopped production of there units, so make sure if you buy used they are from a reliable source, I personaly recomend the HKS SSQV or the BLITZ blow off valve cheers Rob

Hi mate the first one is a copy of the HKS SSQV so I would be worried about the build quality, and the second one is a XS copy, I brought a pair of these from that seller and it was a total nightmare, first off he sent me one then 2 weeks later after complaining the second arrived but no fitting kit!! all in all a total waste of time cheers Rob

  17. thats what I thought, but then you cant get to the lumba suport as it will be on the wrong side and hit the center consol
  18. right here ya go ahhem there is one drawback to the conversion, you will be left with a hole in the side facing the door where the manual adjuster was, this hasnt really bothered me, so heres how you do it. 1) seperate the upper and lower sections of both seats, ( I will assume you know how to retrim a seat, if not look in FAQ or i will be here till next week) 2) starting with the upper half you need to strip both down totaly so no material or foam is left on them 3) as you can see on the passenger seat you have 2 release catches for the seat (to put seat forward) on the drivers seat you have one, you will need to cut the missing one arm off and attatch on the electric seat frame, i used a drill and a couple of screws, as I couldnt be bothered to get the welder out lol 4)then you will need to put the foam and material back on your new modified frame, you need to use a sharp knife to make some slights in the side to alow for the lumba support knob and the seat release mech, thats about it for the top half. 5) once again you will need to remove the material from both lower halfs of the seat. 6)right now it gets tricky, you will need to grind, drill, pry off the brackets off the right side of the electric seats(brackets for electrinc knobs) and then drill some holes or weld them in the same place on the other side 7)there will also be a trim bracket that needs to moved to the other side as well just where the hinge is, I just cut it off and have left it off at the mo. 8)now the main problem with the electic base is the clips for the material is the other way round, I really couldnt be bothered to remove them and change them over, so i left them as they are and have had no problems yet, but thats up to you you could drill/grind them off and refit on other side to make it a spot on build. 9) you will need to grind the existing seatbelt of the electic seat and disgard, then you will need to carefully grind the weld off the old passenger seat, and reweld them acordingly on your new seat 10) do a bit of easy wiring and your done one electric seat, however your controls will be the wrong way round, but you could desolder the wires and swop around, I havent done this yet due to crappy weather All in all this took me 2 days to get done and am very happy with the job, and im very sorry I got no pics, I can provide a pic of the end result if need be tho cheers Rob 07736942369 give us a call if your gona have a go and you get stuck
  19. the clock is ment to dim with the lights switched on, the problem you have got could be a very easy fix, if you are handy with a soldering iron, if not there a few people on here how may have a look at it for you, myself being one of them. cheers Rob
  20. phew panic over, just checked the clamps, and it turned out a few werent as tight as i thought they wre, and all feels ok now 2!! phew cheers People
  21. grrr, havnt driven her in 2 weeks, hw frustrating, so basicly where i been wotking up top or down below, joy
  22. Ok, heres my problem ive just fitted a pair of Sard R2D2 bos on my upper turbo hoses before the the throttle bodys, ive capped off the holes where the recircs were fitted, now I seem to be getting a fuel cut or something, basicly you put your foot down the boost needle swings round to 14 and then the power stops, then comes on again, it done this in first and second and a little in 3rd the engine has the following fitted; • Custom cat-back S/S exhaust • Induction- A'Pexi Power intake • JWT chip • Boost jets (boost now up to 12PSI) • Timing advanced +1 • Blitz Radiator Cap • Smith fuel lines My thought is the Sard bovs maybe holding pressure better than standard and now im hitting fuel cut?? does this sound feasable? cheers Rob
  23. If it were me I would carry some antifreeze and a selection of waterpipes just in case and some clips alike just incase, sounds great fun tho, havent tried anything like that in my z yet, in my honda I did a london to disnay paris lol, and in the us I did florida to miami, nothing as far your going, do report back on how it goes, could be a learning curve, good luck Rob
