Urgent help required!!
Hi guys, After turning my house upside down I've come to the conclusion that I may have lost my folder containing all info on my car (log book, previous MOT's, servicing, parts, everything :( ) The most annoying thing is that I'm currently prepping the car to sell! Obviously i can get a new log book and ive rung the last garage i used which can supply me all recent work they've done (MOT, tyres and a few other bits). Now im pretty desparate to sell as my job requires me to travel much further than i used to hence its becoming quite expensive. I bought the car off RussT an old uni mate of mine, a member on here and well known over on zclub.net, roughly a year ago. The car was owned by a guy called Scrawni another member on here before Russ so I'm hoping they can vouch for previous works (its got a full energy suspension bush kit, afew other goodies, and i DID have evidence of the cambelt replacement roughly 20k ago (with photos ffs - all in my folder ARRGGGHH!!!). There is a sticker on the cam cover to prove this partially. I'm really upset about this guys and was after any advice in terms of what i can expect to price my car at considering it may have no evidence of history. Now it obviously looks dodgy to most and i honestly cannot blame anyone but myself for thinking that. I'm just after advice on how much to knock off my car? I'd priced it at around £3k with all the history but seeing as it may no longer have any (i will keep looking) i was wondering what i do with my price? Any advice would be great guys, I just hope it turns up!! Cheers, Adam

MOT fail - advice please
Er, ok -just checked - my car has 225/50 R16's on the front and 245/45 R16's on the rear but its definately a j-spec! Will 225/50 R16 still go on? they're working out much cheaper than the wider ones. Im confused!!

MOT fail - advice please
also, r.e. the tyres query, arent the fronts narrower than the rears? or have i missed something here?

MOT fail - advice please
Hi Dan, In answer to your answers, 1. Its the rear foglight. As its a j spec car i believe that they need a rear one fitting on entering the UK? I had one installed on my EF8 CRX when it came in to the country from japan. Anyway, they cant find it, or see it working or something (really should pick a garage closer to my work lol). May need to inspect it myself. 2. The tyres didnt sound too bad, cheers. 3. yeah, the headlights are a PITA but im hoping they'll add a minimal amount to fix this to my bill. 4. the term "oil tanker" was an exaggeration, the brakes were ok before, but compared to other cars ive driven they seem a bit shoddy and ive driven more than one 300. i may check the calipers but that wouldve been flagged up in the MOT? Maybe if they just check the brakes for "bite" rather than strength if you know what i mean cheers Adam

MOT fail - advice please
Hi guys, My 300 failed its MOT today. Im in need of advice for a few issues 1. Foglight not working (j-spec). Which light is normally used for the foglight? it may help with finding the wiring. The switch is installed on the centre console just to the left of the clock if that helps. 2. 4 new tyres (standard wheels). Ive been roughly quoted £358 for some cheap tyres fitted (kumho i believe)- is this about right? i'm only after cheapish ones atm. Other than that, it also failed on a split steering gaitor (not too bad) and the headlights arent working properly. Its the connection not the bulbs as you can move the wires about and they flicker on and off! very annoying as i cant see whats going on due to where the connector is. Thats it! Well i say "thats it" but i was hoping it was just the rears that were illegal! Ive just added some EBC grooved fronts so i may actually be able to stop like a car not a oil tanker! Any help would be great folks cheers Ad

Bournemouth/Dorset zed specialists?
Hi chaps, My MOT is due at the end of the month and i'd much prefer to take it to someone who's at least partically familiar with the common problems/issues these cars are faced with. As the title says, I live in the Bournemouth and would like an idea of somewhere decent to take the old girl. Any Bournemouth/Poole members? Cheers, Adam '93 TT Manual

Power Window issues....help?
Ok cool. Thanks a lot for the info - one more thing - when taking the door card off is there anything i should be worried about falling out of alignment, etc? My flatmate took the door card off his Beemer and its never gone back on properly! Adam

Power Window issues....help?
Is it easy to change the amp out? Or is it a whole door card coming off jobbie? the switches themselves were easy enough
