hello all just a quick one...i recently mod ded my import kilometre clock to mph with a chip...steering tougher but no ping noise etc..however changing my clock face ive broken the needle speedo etc....so ive now bought some second hand mph clocks which im about to fit....my question is should i fit the chip i fitted to my kph clocks? or does it not need it?....thanks as ever all

hi mate and thanks for your help....with the rewire which i am convinced i have done correctly i also changed the front face of the speedo to a mph face .however i obviously had to take the needle off and that i think is where my problem lies when i pulled the needle off it came out from the pin shaft not just the top orange indicator could this be my problem? sorry if i appear stupid but how else can you change the face?...again many thanks

hi mate got hold of the speedo people and they sent a blown up pic which i copied brilliantly but now the speedo doesnt work ! guess ill have to put in a uk clock..is that just a swap do you know?

hi all i have a1989 z32 and have just bought a digital speedo converter/delimiter....however my wiring seems different to theirs...I need to break into the signal wire...mine are white.red.blue.yellow.green. black i guess black is negative red positive but which is the signal....as ever thanks alot for your help

hi its rich again with my troublesome z32....well I got it back from the rip off garage and as instructed put in some new plugs and yes you guessed it its still all over the show...this is what happens..from cold start up its on 5 cylinders ,after say a mile its trying to go on six sort of on off...get to a junction at idle then pull away and its (i guess) down to 4 and really labouring....so i get to the pool go for a swim come out after say 40 mins start her up and its back on six running fine!....after say 2 miles of pushing it abit to clear it? back on five etc. Please excuse my ignorance but there is a unit beginning with P that supplies the power to the injecters i bought one of luke borg about six years ago and this was put on just before the inj. job could this be the culprit also in the past ive had problems with the loom to the injectors...should this be replaced? any help as always is so appreciated wish i could offer some advice back im a recording engineer if you need some tips! kind regards rich

hi all ...went into garage fired up with all your kind info and the guy wouldnt budge so did the shouting bit ...no joy then my best mate ex bouncer,dealer,psycho....(who had recommended the guy) totally lost the plot with him ...trust me i hate violence but all us wimps need a big brother like that once in a while to stop shits like that guy doing that stuff... result! ......£300 well its better than £700 and there were some bits...£70 hey the good guy won! cheers rich

well i am so impressed with the kind attitude and help from everyone..... although rough i love my 300 and she deserves a rebuild my old 260 2+2 turned a few heads but not like this....ill post the result tomorrow or youll see me on crime watch!!

hi all have just recently bought an injector second hand (its fine) but had to get a local garage to fit it...can anyone give me an idea of time to do this because this lot are well and truly trying to take me too the cleaners...basically fit the injector (i supplied) some form of repair to its seating ? or possibly its cable in...no parts at all £693!!! a bit stumped as to what to do cheers richhttp://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/smilies/shocked.gif
