  1. Thanks to you all for the info! Regards
  2. Anyone know of a good, reliable garage in or around Preston, Lancs that are familiar with Zs. I just need my headlights replacing and an airfilter fitting??? Advice appreciated
  3. Thanks Gio, Dave, Thanks for the explanation. I didn't look at the lights close enough and mistakenly thought that the glass was clear(doh!). Looks like the hunt is on! Regards
  4. Thanks Both, I was hoping that I could just reorient the projector lamps and avoid the trouble of headlamp removal Does anyone have a set of lights they wish to sell - is this the only way???? Regards
  5. Hi, Anyone know how to convert the headlights to dip to the left instead of to the right?? Want to bring my european Z over
  6. Where did you get the dial face from, was it easy to fit and would they do one to convert a speedo that reads up to 280 kph??
  7. Gio, Thanks for the thoughts Anyone any idea what I may need to do the headlights and speedo if I did go ahead and bring it over i.e. 1. With the projector dip beam, is it a case of just repositioning them or do I need to get new units? 2. Are the days of putting stickers on the speedo' over (mine reads to 280 km/h) and where could I source them?
  8. Gio, Thanks for the useful links. As regards buying a RHD version, your right however just trying to weigh-up the cost/hassle factor of bring mine over vs buying an "unknown"!!!
  9. I am returning to the UK from Germany and would like to bring my German spec 1991 TT back with me (even though there are no autobahns to play on! ). Does anyone know what/how technical mods I have to make (lights, speedo etc) and the registration process? Thanks in advance
  10. Have PM'ed you with the personal details in the message
  11. What did he say ... is it a goer??
  12. I'm sure that is sounds amazing :p Will have to wait until next week to download (when I'm back at work :D ) as my machine here is an 8 year old Win95 Pentium 1 and cannot decompress the file
  13. I emailed Johnny yesterday to ask him to clarify the questions posed. Hopefully he will get back to us soon (assuming he is not taking an Easter vacation!?)
  14. Should have appeared in your account within a week from the 25th Feb Regards
  15. Ajay, Subscription monies transferred 6 weeks ago. Was there a problem as my membership has not been upgraded??

  17. With traction control seemingly the best thought of modification (see "What's Your Favourite Modification" thread), I'm surprised that more people aren't interested in preventing their pride and joy from sliding off into the deep blue yonder! Johnny from Grasshopper Motorsport offered a Group Buy on the Racelogic Traction Control system a couple of months back with up to 30% discount but only two were interested. I wanted the Traction Control (TC) for the security so that if I did cock things up (again), I wouldn't end up going backwards through the nearest hedge. I got fed-up of blasting past Scoobys and the like down the straights only to for them to catch me up round the bends as I am mindful of what a powerful rear-wheeled drive car can do. With the TC, those Scoobys would stay as a distant speck in my rear-view mirror. I believe the GB offer from Johnny is still open ... is there any further interest??? PS. The Racelogic website states that the TC can be fitted by anyone with basic electrical expertise but Johnny/Grasshoper Motorsport are also authorised fitters PPS. No, I am not on commission, I just want the offered 30% discount!
  18. Getting mine done on Thursday. Spend most of my time above 5000 rpm (advantages of unlimited autobahns) so hopefully the engine won't shake itself to pieces!!
  19. Ajay, Transfered subscription monies 3 weeks ago. Could you confirm that the correct amount has been received Regards
  20. Am also interested but have a similar question to "Lymon": Will it work if it's based in Europe (Germany in this case)? My assumption is that it operates like a mobile phone so if one can get a Sim card registered to the tracker it will be OK? Grateful for confirmation. Regards
  21. Grateful if you could email me the account details (inc. SWIFT and IBAN numbers) so I can pay my subs. Tried Paypal but couldn't log on. Thanks
  22. Thanks for the info I got the Mines ECU reference from an article in "Japanese Performance" mag where a guy had fitted T28 turbos, 555 injectors and this Mines ECU which apparently maps itself (I assume it reads all the sensors and itself works-out the optimum fuel metering). Power output was quoted/measured as 457 bhp at 0.95 bar (or thereabouts). Do those mentioned do the same or similar and what are the experiences? Plus the obvious question ... what is the "Zcontrol"?
  23. Anyone any experience with the self-mappable Mines ECU, how effective they are, where you can get one and whether there are any alternatives?

Heard of water ingression possibly damaging the airflow sensor with aftermarket filters fitted. Anyone got experience of this and do slots in the front panel make the matter worse??? (PS. Z32shop.de sell the K&N filters but have a "please see me" warning for those with headlamp washers)
