  4. Buy a 300zx with the view that it WILL be going wrong and it WILL cost loads of moneyt to fix. If it doesn't go wrong then happy days, if it does then at lest your prepaird for it.
  5. Thats all fine and dandy having the front door nice and secure, but a hacker wont walk up your garden path and try getting in through there. They will use the back doors that are left reasonably open, even at banks. We got into Deutsche Bank's international transfer server AND took control of it from the internet in less than three min. This was done infront of the board of directors and the head of IT was marched out the building there and then.

  11. Could be your TPS needs looking at too (adjusting)
  12. The garage fitting the engine have no bearing on wether the engine in broken or not. It must go back to whoever rebuilt it.
  13. So do motorbikes and F1 cars but people dont moan about them! :D
  14. Its the horse power per ton that matters though ;)
  15. Fook me mate try using the pedal on the right some time! :D :nelson:
  16. 200's are ok, good fun cars. Dont know a great deal about them myself but a few people on here have/had them so someone can help you
  17. I would say go for a non turbo 300zx to start with, for you it will be MORE than powerfull enough to make you smile and you can learn the rear wheel drive experience. Also they are cheaper to run and tend to break down less ;) Less power at the wheels wears the rubber down less, less speed brakes last longer etc tec Oh and cheaper to buy :duffer:
  18. Asked the guy if he was sure its a 1993 and he replied sorry its 1991 model which will be H reg.£2795 with 6 months tax and 10 months mot and brand new stereo thanx Not a bad price for a manwell in black.
  19. Not really, but need to be done a more often than normal cars, eg. oil changes every three months. Normally less rust on imports and a better spec than the UK ones, other than that they are the same car. Harder to find as they are not for sale as often and go for higher prices as they are more desirable. Mainly lack of servicing and money being spent, find a car with LOTS of history.
  20. £3k will buy you an ok'ish 300zx. But you will need £1500 in the bank for a rainy day each year for when it brakes, and it will brake! You have only just started driving and your looking at a 300bhp rear wheel drive sports car?? In all honesty I would say get some more driving experience behind you and then start looking at rear wheel big power cars. If you come off a roundabout even a little too hard in one of these its not like your golf, this will hurt you! Maybe look at some advanced driving classes first. If you do bite the bullet and go for it the costs are high to run one of these. Each year your looking at two sets of tyres (£1000) Two sets of brake pads (£180) Four oil changes (£240) MOT they normally fail so (£400ish) repairs are often and more likely than not expensive (£1000 a year) then insurance and petrol. So your looking at £3k a year to run without fuel or tax or insurance. Don’t mean to put you off, but think hard about it, and if you do buy you will love every minute of it and will always get loads of help from the people on here.
  21. In all honesty, pull the lot out, get down Maplin and buy some good grade wire and ONE inline fuse. Re run the lot. For the sake of £50 dont risk blowing your system up or setting your car on fire.
  22. Clear the codes by removing the battery for an hour or so.
