Turbo Whistle
You shouldnt really be getting any noise then, best thing is take it to a garage or someone who knows about the Z and ask them to take a listen.

Wont run right
If its just back from the bodyshop most likely your gonna have loads of dust and shit in the engine bay. Clean up all the connectors and look at your air filter.

Is it the PTU
Ah dont worry starting on the beers now, Its all gonna go horrably wrong soon enough!!!!!! :hyper: :nana2: :nelson:
-
Is it the PTU
Also its more likely to be a wet MAF or filter as the PTU normaly fails when the car is hot, will just die and then not start rather than not start from cold.
-
Is it the PTU
MJP in the traders area. Around the £200 mark IIRC. Yup his series 2's come with an adaptor harness so it just swaps right over.
-
Is it the PTU
Hmm,, could be. Had you just washed the car? Could have been a wet air filter/sensor? If you have a series 1 PTU might as well upgrade if you have the money to a series 2 cos it will go one day and garentee it will be at the worst time.

chassis number
Should also be on V5 doc and MOT's
-
chassis number
http://www.neuralmotion.com/forum/tech/year.htm chassis no. is on the main bulkhead, the engine no. is a pig to find, the location is shown in the manual (rear of the engine) but in order to read it you'll need to clean off the dirt using WD40 and fine abrasive paper, the no. is stamped on a flat surface on the engine and in order to clean it you need to shove your hand between the engine and bulkhead while holding said abrasive paper and cleaning stamped surface

chassis number
On the chassis ;) Sorry :slap:

suspension
If your on the origonal springs you might as well replace them too. If the shocks are gone most likely the springs will be sagging/past their best.
-
Steering rack
Will most likely just be the ends, much cheeper. take it to somewhere that knows the Z and get them to take a look, and find out exactly where the problem is.
