Nice one mate, the M3 has 346 bhp at its disposal but that's produced well up the rev range where as yours you say is about 340 - 50 bhp but you would have bundles of torque to go with it which would of been the deciding factor...

Yup I'll second that.....look like you guys were having fun out there drifting and doughnutting at the end of the day ;) Didn't run myself as I was on holiday when Bryn invited us all to this great day, but I still really enjoyed myself as I believe everyone did that attended, it was just a shame we had a couple of breakages one of which being the most powerful GTO's of the day and was looking to be in the 11's ... knowing Mark though it won't be long before its running 100% again and competing at TEN of the Best again this year.......talking of which, it would be nice to see some of you guys there, I'm sure you have got some cars worthy of that.... Sorry we are a bit more grown up than the vast majority who have replied to this thread sure we all love our cars and defend them but not to the extremes some of you go to, one guy has slatted the zed, big deal GET OVER IT I mean you never slate any other marks off do you....Supra's or poopra's as you tend to call them oh and GTO's come in for it at least once a week and yet as soon as somebody says something derogatory about the mighty Zed all hell break loose come on get a life PS the reason I pop in here is because I nearly bought a manual 300 zx TT and thought that on the whole you were a sound bunch of guys, but I also must say that the reason that I didn't buy a Zed in the end was 1. the handling wasn't what I expected or hoped for..... 2. and the main reason, it is a very difficult car to work on. At least our boats have 4 propellers as opposed to the 2 on your boats :tongue: oh and while you are messing about going sideways (which ain't fast by the way) I'll just drive round the outside of you in my GTO TT :) another plus for us is being able to use all of our power all of the time something that is not an option for you guys ......so don't pull up next to us in anything but perfect conditions or you're gonna be made to look very silly :rofl: Hey Retro620ti, I take it you use to own a 620 Ti ??.... Only on an airfield track day with this car... "Terminal Velocity" basically a 1/4 mile and top speed day, but yes would love to take the GTO on a track day at Snetterton when I fix my brakes, I did take my mates 240 Z round there on a testing day many years ago (historic car racing) which was great fun!!

PS. using a micro fibre cloth makes it easier/quicker to buff to an 'unbeatable shine' (IMO) Martyn

What its that time already!! GTO bashing from people who obviously know nothing about them!! 1. GTO's are no bigger lumps than a Z and I would go as far as to say if Z's were made with the superior 4WD system they would probably weigh more than the GTO as they're not far off it anyway 2. The only reason you would have to take the engine out is to replace it with a new / reconditioned one, certainly not to change turbo's tho 3. Fastest tuned car out of the two in the UK = GTO TT ;) 4. Handling goes to the GTO in the dry but in the wet............well :D 5. looks are about even IMO but only if the Z has some body mods.... that's down to personal taste tho :p 6. I feel better now lol PS the Z is a nice car...... albeit inferior!!
