  1. Theres a new drink in tesco stores, forgotten what its called but its by the fizzy stuff and it has hangover cure written on the bottle. Tastes like shit but works!
  2. That happened in Crosby! Ohh dear, I live there! Shiat im never trusting a woman from these parts agen i value my balls too much!
  3. Well im a student, i only go out twice a week and i do get bladdered each time, but i wont sit at home and drink any other night. Dont see the point. That makes me a binge drinker doesnt it? Well that makes near enough every student in the country a binge!
  4. No problem matey! Also if she gets a Mk2 you can fit 8inch speakers in the front doors :D :D :D Oh also the batterys a tiny gell jobbie in the boot and are expensive to replace so make sure it starts ok! Normally take a few turns anyway.
  5. I own and maintain my MX5 Mk 2 and work on my friends Mk1 so i know a bit about them. Pretty much bombproof. Very early models had crank problems, but your talking the 1990 models and the rest are fine. Make sure the cambelt has been done at around 50k. The clutch should bite nice and sharp but still be very light and have a good feel. The brakes are fantstic and you will have to be hammering it to get them to fade, although there are problems with the handbrake mechanisn seazing up which means you have to either get your calipers reconned or buy new ones, aswell as a new handbrake cable. The rear diff oil should be changed twice as much as the gearbox oil, i would say do it every 10k. The gearbox's are fine, obviously watch out for usual struggling to get a gear etc etc. But if you are slowly rolling forward at a junction then 1st can take a few go's but thats normal. The plugs and leads dont last long, i did mine 8k ago and they need changing again, its poinless upgrading them though as the genuine mazda ones are best. Parts are pretty cheap, 1.6 you will find very sluggish, 1.8's have just enough poke in a straight line. If you can afford a 1.8sport model with the 6speed box, get it! The slightly shorter ratios help acceleration and 6th is fantastic for motorway driving. Generally the cars are fantastic and dont require much maintanance, but as with any car watch out for usual every day things. Tuning wise, supercharger kits will give you around the 200bhp mark for 2k and are easy to fit. Turbo conversions are also easily available and fairly easy to fit, you can see 250bhp on standard pistons, rods, head easily. Interiors dont rattle much, the roof can be a bit noisy at high speed, mainly above 75. Boot is not big at all. Most examples out there are in pretty good nic. Try http://www.mx5nutz.com/ or http://www.mx5ocforum.co.uk/ for some buying tips and some nice examples for sale. Hope this helps!
  6. Iv been given a project to design a remote actuator for use with an antilag system as part of some university coursework. Iv been searching round on the net and magazines and have spoken to my lecturer who co started up Motec Europe but he doesnt want to give too much away and is saying all the information iv found on the net is only half the details i need. Im just wondering if anyone on here could help me out or knows someone i could get in contact with who has in depth knowledge of antilag systems in general. The brief states that i have to produce a remote actuator suitable for holding the throttle open slightly. It has to be adjustable and can be electronic, pheumatic, hydraulic or powered by any means neccessary. It has to work on single or multi point throttle systems and only cable operated ones, not fly by wire. We were originally told to look into the mapping of different ECU's that can operate antilag, so i looked into Motec and downloaded all the mapping software and had a play but now he is saying we dont need to bother as the ECU will be mapped seporatly. I have found loads of different types of existing actuators and suggested a few ways of doing this. 1 - An actuator is activated by a switch when the throttle pedal is released, this actuator pushes down on the throttle cable and holds the butterfly valve open around 12-20 degrees. A nut and lock nut adjusts how much the actuator presses on the cable. 2 - An actuator is activated by a switch when the throttle pedal is released, this actuator opens a separate butterfly valve in a bypass pipe from the inlet to the plenum. 3 - An air injector is installed in the plenum somewhere. 4 - An actuator is activated by pedal again but just pulls or pushes open a valve built into the plenum after the existing butteryfly valve. I suggested all these ideas to my lecturer and he says im half on the right track but he doesnt want to tell me where i should be headed. Has anyone got any ideas? I would really appreciate a bit of guidence. Dan.
  7. The Top Gear magazine thats currently out has a review and puts it through its paces against a Lambo Gallardo. Makes for an interesting read!
  8. Iv been searching round but cant find that amazing thread with all the photoshops of that bloke posing infront of the enzo. Anyone got the link? I need a well good laugh! Cheers
  9. After a bit more searching i did find a few bits n bobs about them. Its some interesting shit!
  10. If he has he hasnt said yet.
  11. Hi guys and gals, I know this is not Zed related but i was up in Wrexham industrial estate last wednesday and spotted a Nissan Pulsar, i posted up a spotted about it and turns out it was stolen a couple of weeks back! It could well be the same car! Could people in the North Wales area keep a look out for this car? Its not hard to miss, has silver decals down the doors which shine brightly when the sun hits them. 13. Terminator 3, and the bit where the hot terminator woman gets stuck to that electro magnetic field generator came on. My dad suddenly said that the UK and the USA have been and are currently manufacturing massive versions of those machines and placing them in the ground. Does anyone know anything about this, if they are or is he talking bol locks? Im googling atm but cant seem to find anything. Cheers Dan.
  14. Standard looking Z parked up outside the Vue cinema on the Ocean Plaza wed night. Anyone on here?
