  1. well guys. thanks again for all your input. i have just become the proud owner of an S2000 - i hope i made the right choice - time will tell.... thanks again for all your help. regards kev
  2. thanks for your comments....to be honest, the s2000 goes as fast as i need a car to go! the TT sounds bezerk, but mental is way over the top already for me i think. thing is, i have a Westfield that i havent driven for years now cos it always needs something doing to it, and i just dont have the time - if the zx is going to be similar its not gonna be for me...
  3. ian - is the manual box much bettter than the auto would u say?
  4. yeah...the s2000 is mental - went for a test drive and when that second cam kicks in at 6k rpm ....ooh, it s amazing,....
  5. hi guys...good advice thanks TT sounds like too much potential trouble and too much power for me anyways - im not that much of a speed freak! i do want a nice looking relaible convertible though with some poke...hence looking at s2000, z3, saab 9-3....i still think i like the Z most tho...(although the s2000 is lovely - just no boot space...) a couple of things i havent asked yet: 1) scuttle roll on the verts...is there any or have they engineered it properly? 2) auto box - is it any good?... i really would prefer a manual, but is it worth the hassle / expense to change.... 3) Imports - does it make any difference to a native version? there is a nice looking one on eby at the mo, unfortunatley its in birmingham which is a way to go for me...its a 1997 model, its also automatic but i could be convinced....
  6. ok, have ermailed him... thanks so far guys. are they really not reliable then? its got to work day in day out....
  7. ahh, when i said how practical is this car, i realise it isnt going to be along the lines of a grand cherokee...what i mean is how reliable is it....
  8. yup, think you might be right there... know anywhere i could try - apart from autotrader and ebay...?
  9. ahh, ok. thanks for that. not so fussed about the TT - more juice and more to go wrong - is there an manual NA convertible?
  10. hi guys and girls, hope all is well. ok, i am looking to buy a manual transmission convertible, i can stretch to 9k and i like the look of the 300zx. one of the reasons i likle the zx (apart from it looks great and goes like the proverbial off a shovel...)is the boot space - i want to use this car day to day, and i am a mobile PC engineer so i have a number of tools that i need to carry around, and need to transport 1 or 2 PC's every now and again. thus i need a bit of boot space. so a few questions... 1) i cant seem to find a manual (gearbox) convertible model - do they exist? 2) how practical is this car? 3) anybody got any idea of urban fuel use difference between the TT and the NA? 4) is this car what im gonna want or does anybody have any better suggestions....ive looked at z3, slk 230 and saab 9-3 - still like the 300 though. thanks in advance cheers kev
