  5. hi all. just got my zed bk from garage today with a fresh mot . anyways i thought id take it out for a spin as i havent had it for 2 weeks whilst it was having work done. obviously its been red hot today so didnt tempt thrashing it,but when i got home after bout an hours driving i popped the bonnet and to my surprise i noticed smoke coming from back of engine. obviously this is a worry but i couldnt see exactly where the smoke was coming from, has anyone got any ideas what this might be? engine seems to be running ok,but i was also at a standstill in traffic for about 20 mins prior to getting home and opening bonnet so could it be where the engine is just so hot it may be melting wire casing? cheers.
  6. hello peeps. just a quick question. im pretty sure the timing belt on my '91tt is a tooth out,now ive not really got the funds to put this right yet but i was just wondering if this can damage my engine or will it just not run 100%? cheers.
  7. elo zed peeps! just a quick mention of a cruise in southampton on the 8th june, startin at 7:30. i know this might not be alot of peoples cuppa tea but i thought i'd mention it as ive been informed that max power photographers will be in attendance. if interested the location will be at the tesco/staples car park opposite leisure world.

  11. Hello peeps. dont know if anyone can help me,but a couple months ago i had my cambelt changed by a well known zed garage. now the other day my mate, who is a mechanic, was taking a look at the engine of my zed(my motor being a '91 tt) and told me he noticed my cas was adjusted to the right as far as it would go. this means nothing to me but he told me that it was pretty strange for the cas to be in this position. he said it should really be adjusted bout half way. now im a bit worried, has the zed garage that changed my belt timed it wrong by any chance or am i worrying bout nothing? car is running fine by the way, cheers guys.

  13. hi all, i fancied a spin in my '91 tt auto zed today so i took it down the motorway for a good sunday thrashing. at one point whilst accelerating, the engine hesitated, almost as if gearbox couldnt decide on which gear to use, i took foot off throttle then accelerated again and the whole car started to shake and felt powerless. within seconds of this happening the cat warning light came on so i pulled over, once car was at idle it sounded like it was missing until when i popped the bonnet and wiggled a connector right beside the oil cap the engine seemed to sort itself out!? i started driving car again and all seemed fine for a while, but 15 mins later it happened again! really annoying as iv got o idea what the problem is and how to fix, can anyone help? cheers guys.
  14. yeh cool, cheers zed girl
