  1. cheers buddy. something to do at weekend
  2. paragraph 4 of the above link says it all...
  3. I'd think about this very carefully. It will cost you a lot of money to get a solicitor to take on the case, thousands i guess. You will have to pay their costs if your case fails. You will also be liable for the other parties costs, if it fails. Keep in mind that whatever legal advise you get your local counsil will get better. I believe this has been successfully pursued in the past but the onus will be on you to prove it. Unless you have a lot of cash to burn, I wouldnt take it on.
  4. ah, thanks for that. The ash tray, is it easy to get out? I've not had a chance to look
  5. Hi... I know its been covered loads before and I have used the search engine. Just need to check a few things 1st. 1) Am I right in thinking that the t-piece goes into the vaccum hose on the drivers side of the balancing bar? There appears to be 2 hoses here. Which one goes to the black box for original boost gauge, is it the top or bottom one? 2) Wheres the best place to wire the electric feed to the gauge? My mate has said to wire it into the stereo. Is there a better place? Thanks
  6. I think so mate. Take it urs isn't?
  7. That sounds awesome to me mate
  8. Cheers for the advise. Can you see if you have tht oil cooler?
  9. Mine is an auto, does that make a difference? Im not planning massive mods, Im happy with how quick it goes for the time being. Its standard boost at the mo. Uprated rad worth it if u turn the boost up I take it?
  10. NOTHING! Yep the old girl went straight thru! I was really chuffed. It had a coupla advisories, mostly minor. 1) Front tyres wearing inner edges (tracking - not a prob) 2) Needs some rear pads soon (easy enuf) 3) High level stop lamp not working 4) Centre exhaust blow 5) Radiator leaking (biggest problem!) Shes not rotted away anywhere either. Not bad for a K plate UK car! As for the radiator... Its not dropping a lot but Im gonna have to replace it. Looking at it its prob the original rad so its not done bad in fairness. Can anyone advise me, is it worth getting a original spec rad or an uprated one? And the exhaust I think I will replace too. I didnt know what make it was but after getting under the car on the ramps its a powerflow. And the emissions, the part I wasn't looking forward too, no probs! RESULTS CO: 0.00% !!! HC: 2ppm vol 1.019 I'm told thats pretty good! Any advise on the rad be good. Cheers guys
  11. haha brilliant m8. glad im not the only 1
  12. Its the first clear sky we've had for ages and the sun is out... where I live anyways. So I got the zed out, took off the targa top for the first time in ownership and went for a spin. Now I know why I bought it. It looks awesome (even tho mines just about standard). It sounds fantastic. And by god does it feel fast... maybe the fact that I drive a 1.4 astra as a daily runabout helps this! Roll on the summer!! Sorry if this is a pointless post Im just happy my car seems to be running so well! Have a good day all!
  13. Hi all. I've ordered myself a boost gauge, I've done some research and I think I can get it wired up ok. I want to mount it in the middle of the dash above the central vents. Is it ok to drill above these? Ta
  14. Its more or less steady most of the time. Like Petes, best way I can describe it is as an occasional wobble.
  15. So I'm best off just keeping the standard setup for the time being, saving a bit more cash and doing it properly?
