Juat wanted to sat a massive,massive thanks to Mark (topless) for the ptu unit he supplied me. Car now runs brill,just got to get it through the dreaded mot now.

kool chears, all i know is the electrician that came around did all his tests and said it was the ignition amplifier. If thats the same thing as the PTU should be easy to sort but not sure what series mine is or which i should go for.

well just had an electrician come around to have a look at why the Z was running a bit lumpy, i thought it was due to the loom but with all the parts tested its turned out to be the ignition amplifier unit. The guy said they should be easy enought to find and an easy problem to sort. Does anyone have one or know where i could find one? Thanx Sonia xx

The same thing happened to mine,my boyfriend entered the wrong sequence and it buggered the alarm up,light stayed on all the time no chirp but the lights still flashed. We ended up pressing ramdon buttons and managed to reset it somehow.

I brought some turbos off ebay too only to find that when they went to be fitted on the car they didnt fit. The guy advertised them to fit a 300zx but they were for a 200sx instead. I was not best pleased to say the least.

To be honest,it wouldnt bother me in the slightest if my car was on Barryboys shed of the week. I would find it quite amusing that my car has offended someones eyes that much that they feel the need to slate it.

Well because the engine was well and truly knackered to say the least its in having a full engine rebuild. Ive missed driving it soooo much i just cant wait to get her back.

Snap mate. My car was brought of ebay and had the same problems as yours. The guy i got it from totally abused it. I had the turbos replaced and the pcv valves done but still no joy. Shes now having to have a full engine rebuild to get her running as she should.

I had to get some small spot lights and have them fitted into my veilside kit as it didnt have any sidelights,but it had passed all the other mots without them (go figure.)

The mesh was fitted at the bodyshop when it had the kit fitted.
