Im sure you have all seen or heard of these fuel additives that claim to up the octane rating of your fuel...my question is do they actually do anything? They claim to increase bhp, mpg etc. I use v-power in the car and wondered if there would be any benefit if i coupled that with octane booster. Anyone used one of these products before? Thanks. Dan.

Saw a black Z driving past me and my mates as we were walking back to the car after coming out of the Mogul Indian restaurant. Looked like it had a large single exit exhaust but didnt catch the plate or any other details as was dark. Was 26/01 at about 8:30pm. Was this you or does anybody know the owner of this car? would be nice to know another Z owner near me.

Car is now decatted but doesnt seem to be any more powerful or responsive. If anything less. Also there are stupid amounts of vibration going through the car and engine noise (tapping) seems much louder. Is this normal or is there something wrong? Please help, can I stop these annoying vibrations! the exhaust volume is not a problem but the vibrations are almost shaking the car to bits :confused: Thanks Dan

Can anyone tell me if there is anything difficult about fitting de-cats to a n/a? I have done some searches and found one post talking about blocking the hole for a sensor? Not sure what this it for? As far as I can see it pretty much bolts on and then just tie the cat heat sensors up out of the way? Is there anything more to it? Thanks

Agree with you about the fusion...it was never designed to win any beauty competitions, purely practical. But the CC......thats a nice looking motor.

If the mondeo concept (or Iosis) is anything to go by then the real thing should look very similar. As you say, not going to look quite as good in lower spec models but 'you get what you pay for'.

Yeh, i do :D Not the best car in the world, but a long way off being the worst. But hey, if we all liked the same cars then life would be pretty boring.

Not bad when you can get a brand new fiesta with auto headlights, auto wipers, heated front screen, sony cd player, power-fold mirrors a petrol engine that can give you 40+mpg and still do over 100mph. with metallic paint, alloy wheels, 6 months tax, 3 years warranty and a years free roadside assistance. all for less than £8.5k!!!

im looking at removing the middle silencers and cats from my otherwise standard n/a. My question is, what will this sound like with standard rear boxes? Has anyone used this setup? And if so what sort of noise did it produce? Thanks.

Travelling back from work on mon (new years eve) at about 6pm I spotted a black Zed travelling in the opposite directon. Was going away from Manningtree towards Tendring. Didnt get a good view but it was rather loud.

I have a small active sub (blaupunkt) that I want to put in my boot, is there anywhere in the boot I can take power from that will handle it or will I have to run cables down from the battery? Thanks Dan
