  4. Aww gee thanks fellas. More than happy to take cash lol However I can only offer my body in return, whoops! I do pop in from time to time to see how the world of Zeds is going though  Take care and thanks again smithy
  5. It was in reference to the size (length mainly) of the intake in the above picture being so large and my own experience of making/fitting various types of intakes to fit, single and dual. Hopefully he's had a bash and knows either way now. ta smithy
  6. Yes deffo not as straight forward, lol after buying brand new 99 spec switches and carbon surrounds and even an adapter loom for it. Does look the mutts nuts tho! Smithy
  7. As said mate a very nice dual intake, but for sure try it for fitting now in case you need to make alterations. Made quite a few intakes in me time including the Zeds dual ones so I know it's a struggle! The MAF being bigger by half an inch is a big help, whilst voltage plays a big part as does the volumetric size of the MAF, so good job :-)
  8. All good thanks mate, still lerk around from time to time. Sadly me beemer doesn't amuse me much lol Lee peeps often make a mistake in finding a boost leak, fixing it and assume all is done in that regard, so do another test. Also if you have fitted aftermarket side mounts and fitted the original ducts on as well at the front, it has been known when screwing in the fixings to tighten too much and it puntures the alloy enough to cause a leak. Some don't fit the ducts at all and with some SMIC wonder why they have a boost leak, it's cos in some cases the duct fixing point needs plugging. Other than that, in the same area, when new hose joiners have been fitted on new SMIC, a leak can occur. Let us know how you get on, Smithy
  9. Even though you imply your Zed was stalling before changing back to the recircs, air leaks are the most common cause of a stalling engine Lee. Go round checking all hoses that the clips are seated correctly and then check for tightness, including those going to the intercooler, especially if after market. Lastly check all vac lines. Ideally if you can get your hands on a boost leak checker, quicker and easier job. Once satisfied there are no leaks, you can look what other issue may cause it. Smithy
  10. The set with the fewer silicone sleeves (more chance of leaks) and smoother bends for flow, so Ashspec. He's a Zed lover through and through and designs his parts and tests them himself. smithy
  11. Wrong grade in your opinion or not, am simply pointing out a reference from NGK themselves, Topless supplied one of 3 statements from NGK given to the forum over the years in relation to the spark plugs Nissan commissioned them to use in the Zed engine. It also points out the slight error made in post number 2 above, simples :-) ta smithy
  12. A stock UK plug was a grade 5 and uses the C and in the US was a grade 6 and uses the B, this link below at post number 4 should be of some use. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?90470-Spark-plugs&p=859825&viewfull=1#post859825 Smithy
  13. Bin the shroud, don't paint the fam just have a nice sparkly clean undamaged one. Never ran a shroud in mine for the 10 odd years i had it... smithy
  14. And to help prevent problems with the front drains, remove your side repeaters, there you will see where the drain pipe enters the cabin, disconnect it here and fit a connector and some new pipe down behind the wheel splash guard, so you have no drain inside the cabin and no drain going through the sill. Smithy
  15. In a Nutshell yes and the calipers would be either Red or Black. smithy
  16. GTR 33's are Brembo's and at 30 bucks thats cheap! get the matching fronts and fit the 324mm discs and you got a decent set up. If Brembo ain't stamped on them, then they ain't GTR Smithy
