  3. HI Stuart I didnt find it or couldnt. ended up taking it to a gearbox expert Who is repairing it now. Will let you know where the lockout spring is nest week when i get the car back Don
  4. The problem was the spring broken on the lock pin for the reverse gear, i found most cars are fitted with one. Thanks for everyone help Cheers Don.

  6. Hello Vijay I have got a manual, but i still can not find any lock out pin. you are supposed to be able to get to it from outside the gearbox but i dont know. Thanks anyway Don

Andy I dont think its the clutch as all the other gears are fine, It will not go into reverse anyhow I belive the Z manual gearbox is fitted with a lockout system, that stops you going into reverse at high speed. I think this is my problem, but i don't know where the lockout pin is situated. Cheers! Don

  9. Cheers mickeyb. Yeh, its a manual. All other gears OK, but 5th gear does not seem 100% but still goes in.
  10. I have a 91 N/A Jap spec 300ZX, and cannot select reverse gear. Gearbox was running perfect, then I had some probs getting it into reverse once or twice, but with a bit of fiddling, it did go in. But now it wont go in at all. Any ideas? :mad:
