  2. If you cant make it this weekend, don't worry, there'll be another one soon after anyway :D......................... If mine is completed for this weekend, and you can make it, then I'd offer to take you out in mine for a quick burn...... but then it is RED   Good idea about keeping some back for sort any little issues with the car. As for insurance, join the club, then you may be able to take advantage of insurance through Houghtons. Whether they can help though I'm not sure, as I'm not sure on the age limit.
  3. Personally i recon your budget of £4k for a '94 TT SWB is a little optimistic, but you never know. And as for anything other than RED :nono: :nono: ;)

  15. Not a truer word spoken :D I never thought I'd get sucked in (apply your own jokes ;) ) to all this modding malarky, but I have. I've spent a fair packet (not as much as some, MAC  ), somthing I've never done on a car before, and I've loved some very nice cars (well to me anyway). It's like a really good woman, leaves you with empty pockets :D

I've got one of these, Karen brought it for me at billing last year.... Arrrrr aint that sweet ;) So I gave her somthing later ;) It is a LHD, but it's a Fairlady?? How can it be, as the 99 spec was only made for the JDM!! LWB?? Yes it's got the fuel filler behind the rear wheel arch, but it's only got the front seats!! Is this a varient we never knew about???? ;)
  17. Just been reading the 'How Long Have You Owned Your Zed' thread and wondered why do people like the Zed on here. Is it the looks? Or is it the Speed? Or is it the pulling power? ;) Or somthing else??????????? Personally I like the looks, I know that there are faster and better looking (but only just ;) ) cars out there, but from the moment I first saw one infront of me, with what looked like blown turbos, I just knew I had to have one :D I cant say the speed, as the last time I drove mine it still had the Jap limiter on (now been removed) and ran like a bag of crap if you floored it!!! Hopefully it'll run better now :D
  18. Thanks guys, I can tell you it was scaring the crap out of me before I started it, incase I'd bitten off more than I could chew :D I was also very nervious this morning when I struck her up, it seemed OK though, no need to adjust any of the belts anyway, just gota get the hard pipes on when they turn up. I took them to my local bodyshop, he's done all my work in the past, quite good aswell (prob not as good as PPS though) Charged me £35 for them, and I've got the front bumper there now aswell. The bling strip is from Smithy (thanks Paul  )

Very well done mate
  20. Yeah, I may be moving house again later this year, hopefully find one with a garage this time :D I'd have got a lot more done sooner if I'd have had one, but at least I'm not rushing it and, hopefully, not making mistakes ;) Can't wait to drive her again, and I hope that when she's all back together she won't cough and splutter all over the place when I stick my foot down. And it won't be embarrasing when I get some knob up behind me and I have to give way 'cus I haven't got any more poke , 'cus I've had the ECU done aswell ;)
  21. Yep, same here Pete, very nice looking motor, and such a nice colour
  22. Thanks guys for all the support last night, I feel much better today, but had the day off work anyway, then went and spent the afternoon on the car ;) The hose problem is sorted, Smithy, and a few others were correct, it clamped down niceley. I just didn't think it looked like it would, but I happy to be proved wrong :D Theres a full updat on the service here, for anyone who's interested :D
  23. Day........ ermmmm.......... sod it, i cant remeber anymore :D Right following on from yesterdays problems with the Rad Pipe kit, I've sorted it today. But first yesterday, Radiator was succesfully put back, but on putting the new stainless steel rad pipe kit in, I found that the outlets on the rad seemed smaller than they should have been (well it was cold, and we all know how things shrink in the cold  ), so I gave up on that and posted a request for help, which came up with quite a few options, one of which I've used today. Anyway, I decided to do a bit of splicing of my new connectors instead. So the new ECU temp sender connector was done and then the harness was taped up. Then I moved onto the PTU, first though I do have a fresh pair of series one connectors on their way, but came up with the idea of directly splicing my series two ones in, which I did, and then taped it all up. That was it by that point, as I was ****ing freezing and felt like sh1te :( Today, Well I started by sorting the rad pipe problem, Smithy sugested that I should be able to clamp up the difference (37.5mm down to 35mm) being carefull of the plastic rad outlets. Well it seems to have worked OK, it's been filled with coolant and I'm waiting to see what happends, leak wise I mean ;) I did connect the battery back and started the car, but it didn't run very well, but I'm putting this down to the fact that the turbo hoses were off still, so couldnt get the car upto temprature yet, got to wait for the hard pipe kit from Smithy now :D Have also fitted my PURPLE grounding kit I got from Pete Shrimp. Then finished off by fitting the HID kit fully, and rebuilt the front of the car upto the point of having to wait for the 99 spec front end to come back from the bodyshop  So in short, it's almost there :D One thing I will add, is that, although you don't need to remove the front bumper and headlights, the extra room it gives you along with removing the danger of damaging either of these parts, is well worth the extra 1/2 hours work. And also the headlamp buckets are an essential place for placing nuts/bolts, spanners, cloths etc. Well i found it very usefull anyway, but then I am replacing my bumper and fitting the HID conversion.
