  1. My Zed was my daily driver and i was filling up every weekend. I had to decide:- a)keep it and be a bit skint or b)sell up, free some cash up. I found i avoided driving the Zed at weekends cause it had cost me £60-70 just to get to work and back. So i sold up and now i am cash rich and have bought a motorbike! I couldnt find any fast cars with decent mpg and CBA running two cars cause i dont have the room to park ect.. Bikes are the way to go.
  2. What about these... they have been around for a couple of years now. http://www.teslamotors.com/design/exterior_colors.php Electric is the way forward, I cant wait for them to be mass market. Just imagine a car without any PTU, CAS, coil packs, timing belts, auxiliary belts, head gaskets, valves, pumps, top/bottom end, exhausts, filters.. (and so on.. the list is nearly endless!) that could fail at some point if not replaced/maintained. And best of all... imagine a car that you can drive without having to pay BP/Shell for the privilege.
  3. sounds like a case of malnourished asbestos hamster :) Try feeding the poor thing. Must be knackerd hanging on at 30psi Or running normal boost and now running safety (for some reason) and your boost gauge is way out?
  4. Just like to say thanks guys. Anthonyd for use of Conzult and loan of PTU And Dan for getting a new PTU to me in less than 24 hours. The car is running great now  Just need to wash this damn sand/dust off it now. Jon
  5. You can check your MAF is reading in spec with a volt meter. Fold back the rubber cover so you can see the pins. There is a unused pin, go to the other side and its the second pin in (pin b). Check voltage between pin b and ground. It should read 0.8v ignition on (engine stopped) and approx 0.8 - 1.5v Idle (warmed) I have just checked mine recently like this and the manual is still up on my screen at the right page :)
  6. Yeah, i'll put my name down if i still have the car (i think i will) It would be worth it just to hear the strange noises Buddha's car makes ;) So far we have Johnyboy Buddha Chutney Tubz (maybe) projectStones Anybody else? Please add names to the list
  7. Are you going to buy my zed now then? ;)
  8. This has previously been discussed on this forum... i wonder if zxjon had any sucess with this chip?? http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=107572
  9. I can make this one and will deffo be there as i doubt will have sold my Zed by then. Whats the plan? Tunnel run?? :hyper:
  10. Try holding the boot open and banging the struts in the middle with a closed fist from the car outwards (from the boot to the side... direction). Its worked for me with my set of struts. Dont do it to hard you might break them!! but worth a go if you have two sets. I had to give mine quite a wallop but i started softly to gauge how much to hit them.
  11. I cant cut the pictures from http://www.hyeline.com but i think they had that car for sale (if not it looks very simular). Check the link for the full spec.... http://www.hyeline.com/import_sale.htm
  12. Check out the Talking Cats if you think that was funny. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=GVzJj9Bio5g
  13. Wicked little motor. Also called the Suzuki Cara and uses the Suzuki Cappuccino 660cc engine.
  14. I like the comment on the autoblog web page... "looks just like a humpback whale about to suck in some krill" I dunno why but i just like it, its quirky and got character. But then i think the Suzuki Cappuccino is a great looking car. Mind you it does look a bit melted.. haa ha
  15. Have you seen the new super car from Mitsuoka called Orochi  (its on display at the Tokyo Motor Show) Personally i think its a great looking motor, inspired by dragons LOL, but many people think its just damn ugly... what do you think? Shame it uses the Toyota MZ engine tho... http://mitsuoka.intellbase.com/news.asp?promoid=235 http://www.autoblog.com/2005/10/20/tokyo-motor-show-covered-by-goo/
