  3. yea i suppose, i hate garage prices lol. But can you explain to me what would cause me not being able to blow air into that pipe that i said n my 1st post. is there some sort of one way valve or somthing.
  4. sorry meant there is no water leaks. Coolant seems fine. Why would the coolant cause the oil to overheat?
  5. Sorry cant comment about the rattle, as i cant remember lol
  6. Well the oil pressure is still normal, and as soon as the power started to go i did stop immediatly. I think the engine is salvageable. Just need to find why the oil over heated. the coilpacks are fine. Any ideas why the over heat? BTW the engine does not over heat
  7. Right, 1st post I have a 90 300zx biturbo auto :( i kno, automatic Driving it the other day, all was fine. slowly i started to hear a clicky noise from the engine, so i thought o god, better head home. On way home, clicky noise got louder and a nasty grinding sound occurs when in D and accelerating. Nearly home i have hardly any power and lots of smoke from engine bay and under car. Open bonnet, no water or anything, so i pull out the engine dip stick and smoke/steam coming from the tube and the oil is a nasty black colour. I go to clean the dipstick and the oil is so hot i got burnt through lots of paper towels. 5 mins later i touch the oil cooler to see if hot, but it's bone cold. Next day, get in car, start it, runs fine......... for 3 mins, then the clicky noise started again. I towed it to my garage. Bought some forte engine flush as i thought may be an oil block. Warmed car for 10 mins, added the flush, 2500rpm for 15 mins then drained it. When that sump plug came off, thick smoke everywhere and the oil was so hot it melted the bucket, not good. So off came the oil filter. I disconnected the oil cooler, used an air gun n blasted it, no blocks there. But the left pipe (if looking at engine bay from front of car) seems to be blocked, 150psi of air cant go through, right one is fine tho. This is as far as i can get, im stuck Please help, i love my zx!
