  1. So Lee, if I wanted to buy from you a 1997 import I wouldn´t be able? because it doesn´t have E4 emissions? wich is what their asking me here? :(
  2. Me buying a Z and cannot register in my country because it requires E4 emissions! :( :( :( :( :duffer: :duffer:
  3. Hi znut..who do you suggest me to quote in the UK?? perhaps these people should have more info?? http://www.vcacarfueldata.org.uk/index.asp :(
  4. easy! this new law came out last Xmas...so I would need to know the word of an expert here who is familiar with it...
  5. Yeahh!! Hey lee what can you tell me about this??
  6. It don´t matter if an import dealer brings one for me once they register the car in the UK say Bonsaicars for example once I get the car I will need a certificate of emissions that says that car passes the E4 standard emissions test..Now! if they bring it from Japan and the Uk certifies that it passes the E4 emissions test then good..but that ain´t going to happen since Japan doesn´t have any E4 emissions..you know what I am saying? little difficult but..that´s the way it goes..unless the car comes with a CERTIFICATE of emissions E4 valid for Europe it will not pass any vehicle homologation oe techinal inspection here. France.
  7. Hi everyone there; I´ve been Quoting to buy a Z through some auction dealers and on my process the first thing I find out when I come to getting some information on registering the car in my country is; first of all if the car has been brought from Japan or the United States it requires a certificate of emissions E4. Since Japan and U.S.A has a different emissions standard, this new law came out this year on all European community under something called the" Kyoto Treaty" in order to clean up pollution on air...I have also checked with other european members technical vehicle inspections and they have told me the same thing; new law requires all cars that want to be registered in European countries to have the standard E4 emissions test done and past, or a certificate of emissions saying it passes the E4 requirements, Now this is really messy..why? easy, in order for any dealer Nissan in the UK to give you a certificate of emissions E4 then it has to have emissions E4, and if the car comes from Japan how in the world it´s going to come with E4? how to fix this? well a very expensive process of changing all engines..etc..a nightmare and expensive job not even worth going to... So now.I find myself with the problem that if a auction dealer from the UK brings a Z for me registers the car in the UK and he can get a certificate of emissions saying that car passes E4 emissions then I am good to go,,, but..who will do that? I don´t think Nissan would do that..neither Nissan in Japan..and neither any Nissan dealer in U.SA., what I would like to know is if anyone here knows of this law and obviously can any of you who own a Z tell me if it has emissions E4? certifcate somewhere? probably not because if you bought the car like 2 years ago this stupid new law came out last xmas..so.. wich is the department in the Uk who is in charge of this? and I could get better information on it? any help here would be so useful and appreciated.. if it is like this unless the Z has EURO4 Emissions once it comes from the UK I think i won´t be able to buy a Z from Japan ..unless it has been already register homologated in the UK or any european country and it passes the emissions 4E and has teh certificate it has. Please Help with this matter. Thank You Fellows!! :( :( :( :( :(
