  2. Hi Guys, Can anyone tell me where I can get New heads from ( apart from main dealers and MJP ). Cheers, Ian.

    Anyone going up on Sunday?
  4. Hi Ryan, Not all of it. I got an inline tube connector for the EGR to EGR solenoid - It appears that the upper of the two solenoids is the EGR one. I decided not to try to switch the two solenoid connectors over in case I lost those tiny springs! At lunchtime ( while there was some light ) I traced out the White cable for the VTC connector. There are two of these, each one exits from the back of each bank of the block and connects to the two larger grey coloured connectors which are held on brackets next to where I am holding the yellow and blue connectors at the top back of the engine in my picture. Is this correct? I would have to disconnect one of these to connect my 'lone' connector then where would the one that I disconnected go? I tried looking down the back of the block between the block and the windscreen tray for the blue and yellow connectors and couldn't see a thing!! I will try tomorrow with a torch! Thanks again for the help, I'll call you tomorrow. Ian.
  5. What a pain posting photos is! Anyway, I previewed these once and when I returned to post everything had disappeared! The first pic is of the two solenoids that I have connected the two loose connectors that were in close proximity - which one is which? The second is of a small tube that just pokes out from under the plenum opposite the master cylinder of the ABS unit. I think this is where the pipe that is attached to the top of the EGR valve should be connected. See pic4. The third is of the 'lone' connector that is just laying beside the Hicas reservoir. The fifth is of the two unconnected plugs that are just sitting on top of the engine at the back and I can't see any matching place where they could go.
  6. I've just taken the photos and am trying to get em off the camera. Vijay - they're not the O2 sensors because I traced those down to the manifolds. The two above the EGR are females of the same type that connect to the solenoid, one's yellow and one's white. The one at the front of the engine bay is the same type of connector as the O2 type - grey in colour. All of these come out of the main harness that runs round the back of the engine then along the side to the front. The pictures should make it a bit clearer.
  7. Having paid quite a lot of money to a local mechanic for head gaskets and turbos replacement work, who normally does a good job ( on the mundane stuff anyway ) I noticed a lack of ummph when on boost. When I looked under the bonnet I found that there were two connectors left undone - I think they are AIV solenoid valve and EGR control solenoid valve but I dont know which is which! I also found that the air pipe from the EGR valve was not connected at the plenum and that there are two electrical connectors not connected to anything lying just above the EGR valve!!! I confronted the garage owner who apologised and said that the he had fired the guy that had put my engine back together and did not know where the connectors or the EGR pipe should connect to. HELP! I am hoping to borrow a digital camera at lunchtime and find a host and post up pictures of the connectors but in the meantime if anyone knows... Thanks, Ian.
  8. Hi all, Can anyone tell me where the best place is to drill the exhaust manifold for the EGT gauge sensor? I know it should be close to the turbo, but how close? Is it easier to remove the manifold or can it be drilled in situ? ( with the turbo removed ). Thanks, Ian.
  9. I've not received any stickers either. Wouldn't mind a membership number if poss. Thanks, Ian.
  10. Thanks Mike, Any chance of the stickers?
  11. Hi Herman, ( ? ) Please could you send another e-mail to my Hotmail address so that I can let you know the account number that I paid the subscription out of. If I had membership status then I could PM you with it! :D Ian.
  12. Hi Ajay, Anything happening? Thanks, Ian.
  13. Hi Ajay, I've transferred the fee today into the club bank account. I've referenced it with my User name IanZSX. I believe there's a choice of stickers for inside or out and if poss I'd like outside as the windows are tinted. Could I have one for each side? Thanks, Ian.
  14. Hi Paul, I was thinking of going up on Sunday. I'm in Strood, what time are you thinking of going up? I can't get on the net on weekends so if you want, you can ring me on 07939 732231. Ian.
  15. I thought about this. Won't the switch panel dig into the tunnel and possibly stop the seat rails from lining up? Are the fixing bolts at the same pitch?
