  1. the OEM j-spec xenon headlamps are 783.59/each here: http://www.nismoparts.com/catalog/?section=529 so no, our product does not come with new headlamps. its a conversion of the stock lamps. this is obviously for those who want to show off their xenon headlamps and compete more with newer cars, where the new headlamps are transparent and typically show off the lamps internal features. look at the newest BMW headlamps, you'll understand. the difference is literally night and day, as the lamps play a huge role in giving the car a more distinct night-time appearance. the other benefit, moreso for our US customers is that we can convert the beam pattern from RHD to LHD, which is quite necessary if you own a street car. for those that have 90-96 headlamps, HIR technology is literally a huge improvement for low/high beam performance, emitting tons more light without consuming a significant amount of current. we recommend HIR technology to our 300ZX customers, as well as various others that use the 9005 and 9006 bulb specification. if you run a rebased HID kit in your 90-96 headlamps, you'll end up with sub-standard lighting. the best solution would be to either disassemble them, retrofit them with HID-spec projectors - or just save and buy the 97-99 headlamps. Personally, I think the 97-99 headlamps look simply beautiful, and eliminate all the guess-work of having to custom fabricate a conversion for the HID-spec projectors. The bezels on the 97-99 headlamps just look a lot better. We'll be in touch with more updates! Z32 is not a popular platform for us much anymore, but being a Z enthusiast I just had to make sure we completed this chassis before moving on to newer platforms! :-) Cheers, Mike / ClearCorners.Com
  2. Direct link here: http://clearcorners.com/products/nissan/300zx2/h_lamp2/ Just wanted to give everyone an update, we just released a new conversion for the 96-99 J-spec Xenon headlamps. We also developed matching 97-99 dual LED front turn signals, in bright-silver finish: http://clearcorners.com/products/nissan/300zx2/f_sig2/ Taillamps should debut in about 2-3 months. Stay tuned! 3. Funkysi> Mike, I've seen your products when I was out in California last year. Chap I know in L.A (Arnel) has some corner markers. They looked great. Infact, isn't the silver Z in on your website his car? Thanks for the kind words. Yes, Arnel's Z32 was the first to rock the rear prototype LED taillamps. They look amazing, and I really cant wait to get the final version off the ground. We have some new, more powerful, and lower profile LEDs which will really help with the taillamp conversion, since clearance is very limited. I cant go into too many details, other than that the entire lamp will be filled - and a more cost effective (and higher power) LED reverse lamp setup will become available. It sucks, but Z32's are getting older and many of the owners we come across out here are not willing to put much money into them. Not just in terms of lighting, but overall.. many of the Z's I've seen out in SoCal and even on the forums, are very neglected. I think the only shop local to us that does super reputable work and builds very nice Z's, is Greg Dupri's shop.. and they only work on a select hand-full amount of cars. Either way, eventually we'll get this project off the ground. We're just getting tired of building up Z33's and G35's, they're very common to build out here. :-( jaffa> What about the rear illuminated panels? Oh yeah, I forgot to answer that question. The logo is opaque (clear lens color) when off. The red 300ZX lettering gets shaved down, we add prismatics behind the lens and thats the color of the writing. The prismatics help fill the lettering entirely with light. Cheers! Mike / ClearCorners.Com
  4. Thanks for the kind words guys. lampshader> No pics for v2.0 yet. We've been talking with a few of our Z32 customers trying to see who's going to tally-up and take the leap. No, no pics at the moment. We've been busting buns over here wrapping up some of our newer projects. We just released new headlamps for the 06-07 G35 Coupe, and are working on finally completing the 03-07 G35 coupe taillamps - its been nearly 2 years of work on this particular project. Also, our 06 350Z headlamps are close to completion as well.. another 1+ year project. jaffaz32> Will you be developing any different headlights? Also your illuminated rear panels what colour is the "300zx" when it's not illiminated? Choice headlamp for the Z32 is the 96-99 J-spec lamps. Appearance and build quality is top notch. However, it is highly recommended that the projectors be modified so they emit a LHD lighting pattern suitable for the country they will be used in. Obviously not a good idea to run a RHD light in a LHD country, since the left-side flare is not friendly to oncomming traffic. If anyone feels fancy enough, we can upgrade the 96-99 Xenon J-spec lamps.. if its in your budget of course. Here is an example of the newest release, 06-07 G35 coupe headlamps: http://clearcorners.com/products/infiniti/g35_1c/h_lamp2/ We also offer color-matching service as well, for those who want paint-matched headlamp bezels. Either way, glad to join a UK forum. We have quite a few customers from UK, so dont be surprised if you see our products on the streets out there! :-) Mike / ClearCorners.Com
  5. Yes... checked that already. :-P For some reason, the forum does not list an option for uploading an avatar. Maybe I need more than X amount of posts. One day... one day. :-)
  6. oh yeah, what do i have to do to get an avatar around here? :-)
  7. hehe, if they were massively discounted.. they would have to be massively de-tuned and/or mass produced. thats the only way we would be able to justify the man power in organizing a group buy and being able to fulfill that type of volume. good news for you z32 owners though, one of our customers is working with us to develop v2.0 of our LED taillamps. the ones in our gallery were the first prototypes we ever did, many years ago. since the z33 debuted, it seems that most of the work we do is with the newer chassis. the new version will consist of full LED parking/brake lamps, with amber LED signal lamps using our latest LED arrays. we'll keep you guys posted. thanks for the interest guys.
  8. ooh.. just cought wind of this thread. mr smithy, did you ever get pics of the side-repeaters we sent you? i'm curious as to how they look on-car. post some brightness shots, people need to know how our goods illuminate! cheers, mike / clearcorners.com
