  1. do you have the make/model of the alarm you ripped off ? and can you get a picture of the wire side of the plugs as well & put them up, preferably a close up.
  2. mario replied to KIM's topic in Events - UK
just google "z009", its at the top ;)
  3. have you tried the radio on the head unit ? reason i say this is, sony had a habit of having 2 blue remote wires, one was blue, the other blue with white stripe. one only powered an amp up when the radio was turned on, if you had anything else on then the amp would turn off. if this is not the case & you have only 1 blue wire, then the unit is faulty, which is common anyway on the remote feed. only solution is to connect the remote wire in with the red wire, then it will come on with the ign
  4. an alarm or immob would not drain a fully charged battery in a few hours, they done draw nowhere near enough current to do that. my guess would be a short in the alt to cause it to go that quick. come across loads over the years, they charge when running but one of the diodes go & cause a short when stood.
  5. DO NOT spin it over on a battery. if theres a valve stuck down if the belt has gone, theres a high probability it WILL bend a valve if not already done so. always check it by hand, IE socket/spanner, then theres no risk involved.
  6. yes. the zed already has LSD, so no need lol
  7. yeah. i know where your coming from. lol. i prefer either orange or o2, but at the end of the day if you really look into it, regardless of how much you pay for a tracker unit, none of them are perfect as they all can lose the signal, more so than a mobile phone.
  8.:rofl::rofl: i totally agree with you there. ive ripped off and binned more cliffords than ive had hot dinners. they are a WAY over rated & overpriced pile of garbage. i wouldnt put one on a goped. there is going to be people that will swear by them, but from a fitters point of view its a different story.
  9. yes thats true mac, but how many phone networks cant you get anywhere in the world, lol. theres very few places where the network goes, and its only for a short spell. the mobile phone route is the cheapest option for anyone. if the battery is disconnected on the vehicle, then it just runs off a fully charged battery in the phone, which can be from 3-7 days, so all is not lost, plus it gives plenty of time to locate it. ;)
  10. ive not used it personally, but the wife used that company with her last employer to track what staff were doing. it was very accurate as well.
  11. mobile phone behind the dash with a pay as you go sim in it. hardwire a charger in to charge it, and use a company like this http://www.google.co.uk/aclk?sa=l&ai=Cd-hAvXrJSdqVBOaDjAezsdSAC6yugnPYyuLfA-yLxEMIABACILZUKANQmeWK0_n_____AWC7zrmD0AqgAZzyk_8DyAEBqQJ5skzTKKO4PqoEH0_QVBAlzpSBFDS_oLL_5FFgXpjHDVYqYG-BbizTm8c&sig=AGiWqtzek8-9ChF9TBVMCoebF_9Tm8ej_g&q=http://www.followus.co.uk/els/ref.jsp%3Frid%3D52%26dest%3D/index.html ;) its the cheapest option.
  12. danny. orbit is easy to use mate. open orbit, click on new (which opens another box up with URL & save file as). go on youtube, right click on the link (in blue) & copy link location. paste that into the URL box on orbit & put whatever you want in the save as, then just click the ok button. it will do the rest on its own.
  13. now thats one hell of an explanation just to say it wasnt you.
  14. ive just fitted an ALPINE one this morning thats pretty good, with bluetooth as well. this is it http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_504661_langId_-1_categoryId_165474 or for a cheaper one if you dont fancy spending that sort of money http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_709605_langId_-1_categoryId_165474 ive never been a lover of any ripspeed stuff, but everyone to their own. HTH
