Wow, thanks for all the replies, sounds like it won't be too difficult to get an extra 50bhp then and shouldn't add too much stress on the engine. I spent in the region of £5k on my supra in mods and had an easy 420+bhp but I don't want do do this again, getting older and wiser!! Just a few light mods like exhaust, cats, maybe chip will be sufficient. I'll keep an eye out for a car now, not looking to buy till after summer really. I've been quoted £440 insurance on a UK spec car which was a pleasant surprise, I guess it'll be a little higher on a JDM car. Thanks again everyone.

Hi everyone, just joined up yesterday and impressed with the number of people on here and all the resources available. Anyway, I'm looking to get a TT manual Z and was wondering if there are any ex Supra TT owners on here and what they think of both cars in comparison. I had a UK supra for 3 1/2 years but ended up having to sell when my insurance renewal went up to £2.5k from £1.1k !!! Is the zed as easy to get more power out of and do they cope with an extra 50ish bhp ok? I've got lots more to ask but I'll keep the first post short...ish, and make good use of the search button.
