  1. Chris, yep i have small round indicators in the "foglight" spot. JJP, where do you get your MOT done? ;-)
  2. I guess if i've got to do that then ok, but it still seems strange that its got through 2 or 3 MOTs without the sidelights. Is there a wiring loom in the engine bay I can trace to see where the previous owner has terminated the sidelights?
  3. Heres a link to a photo of my bumper..
  4. Hmm, theres obviously no "holes" for extra lights.. JJP, what happens when you turn your lights to "sidelights"?
  5. Aaah. i think I may have found the problem then! I don't have the normal bumper(is veilside), So i'm guessing whoever did it found a way round the problem. which is strange because it passed the MOT last time(with the previous owner). Do you know how people with a veilside kit get round this problem?
  6. Hi all, a quick question on the lights on my '92 imprt zed(modded). Its just failed its mot on the lights(rear fogs and side lights). Thats it fortunately! The question is: on a zed, which are the sidelights, which are the mains? It's possible my light units aren't standard, but I've got one small round light and one larger sqaure one. If I put the lights on sidelights, nothing happens, If i put them on "normal" lights, the small round ones come on an d if i go full beam(on the stalk), the big sqaure ones come on and the round ones go out. Its basically confusing the **** out of me! any help would be greatly appreciated  Tony
  7. Ordered disks and pads from that ebay shop. Will let you know how he/they perform... :-)
  8. Bigdan, I probably won't go for Gaijins, just cos i'm too lazy too go to yorkshire! (thanks anyway Gaijin :-) ). I think its the disks jack, because when i jack it up, and spin the front wheel, theres a slight rubbing at certain points on the rotation....
  9. Cool. Thanks guys. Jeremy, for my sins, i was gonna get the disks on plastic, so don't think i'd be able to hand over any cash for a month or 2... :-)
  10. Hi guys, just a quick question. I think I have 2 warped disks on the front of my zed, and was wondering 1) where you would go to get replacements and 2) how easy they are to fit. I'm not scared of a spanner, but have heard stories of people screwing it up on other models... In case it matters, i'm in a J-spec '92 manual TT Thanks for any help..
  11. I was subscribed up until my zed went dead. will be subscibing again assuming i get another one. my hotmail is haxman69@hotmail.com cheers tony
  12. From your ride section, it looks like its the full 2+2. cool. If you have his email, could you pass it on, I'll give him a go. Cheers Tony
  13. Hi guys. I've seen on a few of the rides in here that you can get dash "trim" kits and seat cover kits. Has anyone got these and if so, how difficult did you find them to fit? Also, what was the approx cost. I'm ok with a screwdriver, but do they need sewing or anything else to fit..? Am looking at replacing my old (dead) z, and want to personalise it a bit, so any pointers would be helpfull... Cheers Tony
  14. Hi guys, Just a quick one. I have an intermittent problem with the speedo. When I first start up the speedo doesn't work, however after about 10 mins, it flickers, then comes to life. it's almost as if its "warming up" with the car. i was wondering if this could be a loose connection? if so, where do i look? Oh, btw, the cars UK, so its not the "speed convertor".. Cheers, Tony
  15. Actually, this brings a question to mind(sorry about jacking the thread  ). When people are doing "burnouts" ie holding the car on the brakes and letting rip, does this mean only the front brakes are in play? If not, surely you're ripping the hell out of the rears?
