I have the same feeling, I am only praying it is not. I had a lot of trouble getting the alternator so I got it from US, and in the box is test result showing all OK. I know it could just be a standard print. I am just hoping it is something else and easy to sort. Will check Voltage without Battery conected & see what is happening. Thanks Stu

Thanks Guys, tried all but still no joy! Charging light on and reading 11.9 v on meter.

Hi all, I am a new comer to the world of the Z car and bought my first car a couple of months ago. A 1990 Fairlady Non Turbo, Jap import. First the power Steering pump went, now replaced. Then the Charging light stayed on on the dash, checked the battery with engine running, only 11v. I assumed the Alternator was going so bought A brand new one. Fitted it today and still the same problem, Charging light stays on and 11v at the battery. Help please I am gutted!!! Stu
