  1. '93 N/A Manual Import - £SOLD Time to move on to pastures new. (namely diesel land) Finances have forced the purchase of a more economical car and regretfully I must sell up. I have owned the car for 8 years and have used it daily 11 Months MOT; The last MOT just required brake pads and 2 new tyres. I bought it at 67K miles and currently it stands at 99,900. (You can have the pleasure of watching it tick round yourself). It is worth noting that the gearknob and the 'always cracked pods' have all been replaced with new OEM ones, and the dash surround is in good condition and also has the clips. It is not a show-winning car, and I think is priced accordingly. Standard with a few exceptions: • Remote central locking • Cone type air filter • '99 spec style rear lights • Bilstein front suspension • PTU upgraded to a series 2 • Dashcam (hardwired) • Fibreglass replacement spoiler • CD Changer • Hidden USB port in centre console (was used to plug in a laptop for diagnostics, but could be repurposed for phone changing. • Diagnostic mode accessible on the press of an unused button on the right hand pod. USB Diagnostic cable comes with the car. The bad bits: • Some rust on wheel arches: (see pics) Has never been a problem for a MOT • Paint showing age in places: Front offside wing and patches on the bonnet have lacquer peel • ECU throws code 34. Detonation sensor circuit: (Engine is not actually detonating, just the sensor/circuit) • ABS light occasionally comes on at the start of a journey (1 in 4 times roughly): The ABS ECU says the rear wheel speed sensor is at fault. The ABS does work and has passed all MOTs like this. • Crusty bit on back seat where something has spilled (from before I bought it) • Rear window has a scrape on the inside • Front bumper could be fitted better. • Gearbox can cruch if doing a quick 1st to 2nd shift • some drops of oil have been seen where i have parked, unknown source at this time having only recently discovered this. Some Pics:
  2. Hi, can't anyone out there help me?! I am looking for replacement injector for my 93 NA. I am finding lots of "compatible" ones online but they look physically very different. If anyone has any laying around (new or used) that they would be willing to sell that would be awesome. Pretty sure it's the injector causing the lumpy running. By unplugging the coils one at a time it seems No 3 isn't running. There is power to the coil and the injector. I cleaned all the connectors but nothing changed. The sparkplug is sparking. When I measure the resistance of that injector, it was around 50ish, instead of around 13ish on the others! Thanks.
  3. Gulity as charged! I spotted you at the last second, just as we passed. I gave you a double flash of the brake lights. It had been quite a while since i last saw a zed in the wild.
  4. Thats good news. I will give you a ring in the morning. Probably a good lump cheaper than the £238 + VAT it would cost for the whole arm from Nissan.
  5. I am desperately trying to find a part that i need to get through my MOT. The garage can only get it from Nissan, who estimate it will be some time in December! If anyone can point me in the right direction, or has one from a breaker they can sell i would be very happy. The ball joint needs replacing and aparantly it cant be bought separately - so the whole of the "Offside Front Bottom Suspension Arm" needs replacing. The part number is 5450037P00 Almost forgot, the car is a '93 LWB import NA. Thanks.
  6. I did a similar thing but with just using corner that i had spare. I dont use it really as it lights the place like a up like a whores den. That one looks good though
  7. Had a call today to say the car has been found abandoned. It is with a garage awaiting forensics now so wont get it back for a few days. According to the lady on the phone the only damage is the ignition having been butchered and the stereo is missing. I will wait to see it in person before being satisfied about the extent of damage though. Dont know much else right now, like where it was found or what it has been doing for 4 days, but at least it is in one piece (mostly)!
  8. Thanks for your support guys. Not got any pics as i am on the iPad. Full reg is L538 NNK. The only really distinctive things would be.. The aftermarket heated seats with the switches in the lower din hole. The diagnostic port has been routed to a USB connector under the blank next to mirror switches. A rather fetching homemade black suede h/brake and gear gaiters. Aside from that it is just standard though. Just noticed 'my rides' has gone, will try find a pic when I get home. -------------- Edit. SI-Z: It was taken from Crookes ( I know ) saturday between 6:30 and 7:15. I have had a look round the area and a checking the Internet sites for cars and parts that may be suspect
  9. ------NOW RECOVERED------- see post 16 for more details -------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello all. My zed was stolen on saturday evening from Sheffield. I thought I would post this in the hope that some of those more active in the zed community than me may come across something. It is a entirely stock 'L' reg'93 import NA LWB in silver. There are a few subtle things that would allow me to identify the car as a whole. However, as I imagine the car is now, or will be very soon, in pieces it may be more difficult to identify. perhaps it is a long shot but i just ask that if anyone is offered any suspect parts or anything like that then please let me know. Thanks.
  10. 100% he is bidding on his own stuff. Pretty much all his live auctions have the same bidder placing a bid a few seconds after the auction goes live.
  11. I had nothing better to do at 1 am on friday night and i always like to play with painter/photoshop, so here is mine.
  12. Okay. I assume there must be something wrong. Wired up in what i think is the correct way (suggested by the forum, thanks for your input) the relay clicks into life when i turn the ignition but they stay cold. Wired up in reverse though so that the relay is always on with a constant 12v source but the actual power to the seats supplied by a switched source, they get warm. I am sure this is not the way they were intended to work, otherwise what is the point in the relay. It is not what the manual says but unless i hear any arguments against it from you guys on here i will just install them in the way that i found works.
  13. I have got some heated seat pads from the bay of E but i cannot get them to work. This is the wiring diagram in the "instructions". Am i correct in putting the 2 12v wires into a + source and the other to earth? I have tried it from the cig lighter and also direct from the battery but they still remain cold. Im not sure if i have done anything wrong but i wanted a second opinion before i send em back.
  14. Yeah, they come on bright for a second then dim but as they heat up they get brighter again over the next 10 seconds or so.
  15. Apologies for Hijack I tried to tackle my headlights today for cleaning and repairing. That bolt !!!:censored: First of all none of my sockets would fit it, one too small and the next size up too large. Then while trying to get at it with a scredriver i leaned on the tyre valve and snapped it. So i put the spare on. But when i lowered the car back down all i got was hissing. It seemed fine in the boot. So, After an hour of scraped knuckles the headlight is still in and i have 2 flat tyres. Will try again tomorrow.
  16. Whats going on. I hadn't seen a zed in the flesh for easily 6 months. I left mine at home for a hour and was in the VW when a white one went past on my way towards the manor. Then 10 minutes later a red one flew past while near crystal peaks. I only bought my zed just last week and have been keep an extra careful eye out for others and the day i leave it behind 2 come along at once.
  17. Apologies for offtopicness, but.. I had never heard of them so went and tried to get a quote (online) to be told that they will not quote me because.. Vehicle not rated for this company. Unacceptable. Must be fitted with an approved security device. Unacceptable due to car group Unacceptable Occupation. never mind then eh.
  18. Spotted again (2 years on) in the Black Swan carpark in Barwick in Elmet, just east of Leeds.
  19. Thankyou all for your replies. :) All will be considered
  20. I am in the process of doing Zed research with a view to buying. The MPG situation however has me confused. I am looking fot a TT but peoples claimed mpg seem to vary enormously, from 13 - 25 combined. Can anyone tell me their calculated mpg over a good length of time for a stock engine. I currently get 30 in the bmw and i have a figure in my mind, below which i just cant do it, My fingers are crossed.
