does anyone know the part numbers for the turbos on an auto? thanks for your help jad

spoken to mark at zen a few times and had the car on ramps and you can see its the turbo oil leaking from the gaskets and thick blue smoke. I want to keep her but carnt afford it seen has my Mg has just blown a piston thats my everday car and need it working so the z has to go gutted really but needs must!

all i know is that the engine was rebuilt, and on the way home the guy who owned it blew the turbo thats all i know. I dont mind subscribing to sell thee parts but just wondered how much interest there would be.

im thinking of breaking my z i paid a £1000 for it has one blown turbo, but due to my other just breaking dont know if i can affor to fix it so may break. whats the chances of making my money back? It had an engine rebuild only 4000 miles ago lovly black/grey leather seats. just want some advice on what to do sell it whole or break? regards Jared

anyone know the normally ride hight for the Z. mines is stupidly low about max 1" off the deck! what lowing springs do people recommend as im fitting a new frount bumper which is lower anyway and dont want the paint scraped! cheers jared

it smokes on idle, accleration(alot of smoke) dont think it does when slowing down. Its light blue/white smoke lots of it and theres some oil on the rear bumper(only a small amount) but like i say car does run and tick over very smooth and still pulls well. Jad

same size? i thought the autos had one slightly smaller turbo. Best thing I think is to take it off and have a little look.

not sorry i meant when i was collecting the car he said that after the rebuild on his way home thats when it started smoking. I dont think it has cats but ill check tomorrow. the noise sounds like its coming from the right hand side where the smaller turbo is. Jad

not 100% sure becuse dident drive it far just enough to call AA and toww it to my house. the engine was rebuilt and has only covered 2500miles since. Guy said that on way home from garage it started.

Hi guys. Ive brought a 300zx 1989 with blown turbo with the intension of doing it as a project car. I dont know alot about these so if I described the symptons can anyone help. I picked the car up on sunday bloke came out with battery pack, car started first turn of key, ran smothly but blue smoke coming out of the right exhaust (looking from rear). drove it down the road and had a red warning light on looks like exhaust with heat lines? car heavily smoked from the right side but seemed smouth although there was a strange gratting noise coming from that side. any idea whats at fault im hoping it is the turbo but whats the warning light on for regards Jared
