  1. Hi, I wonder if anybody has a guide to the value of a '94 300ZX Z32 Fairlady TT Targa fitted with a Strosek wide arch body kit? The car was modified in 2001/2 with the body kit, and a number of other modifications (UK headlights, UK radiator, HKS Intercoolers, Bilstein suspension, Azev A wheels, JWT ECU, +++). Low mileage. It has just been put back on the road and MoT'd. Fyi, I'm not planning to sell it.

  4. I have a series 3, and like a '99 model, this has the electric HICAS. Did any UK model have the electric HICAS fitted? (I thought all the UK models were fitted with hydraulic HICAS). I am not sure the UK clocks would be compatible, if your model has electric HICAS, but would appreciate knowing more. Thanks, Geoff

Hi, I did consider this some time ago, when fitting a new clutch, but steered away with concerns about having to really rev the engine to pull away from a standstill (I could not face stalling it all the time in town) and loosing much of the engine braking when lifting off the thottle. I guess it is all related to how light you go. Interested to know how you have found these 2 original concerns Paul? Thanks, Geoff

  8. Ha ha - trick question? Imports generally have 7.5Js all round, and UK/European 7.5Js just on the front, with an offset of 45mm. The UK/European 8.5J rears are 35mm. .....................................and the space saver spare is 30mm !!!!!!!!!!! Hope this helps. Geoff Footnote: Interesting fact that if you have a UK spec model, then you cannot use the rears on the front, etc.., and with the scoops for the brakes (the stock wheels are mark Left & Right) you cannot rotate at all.

  10. The kit use to be available from SE Nissan down at Maldon. It consisted of a panel to weld into the existing aperture, which took the Aero filler. It use to be in their paper catelogue that I saw some years ago. I believe the Aero filler is made in Rainham, if it is the same one I bought from Think-Auto. Ciao, Geoff
  11. Ah, something I can add a couple of comments on........ There is a difference with the Import TT Auto and Manual models. My TT 2+0 Z is a Manual, and unlike the Auto, does not have an oil cooler as standard. I believe this is true for the NA Manuals (perhaps the NA Autos too?). The way to go is to fit the TT (Auto or UK) Filter bracket and pipes. I tried the various Sandwich approaches and there is not enough room: 1) The exit points do not align up to allow any safe connection (on a TT - not sure if the NA would be any different?); 2) You would have to fit a smaller filter such as the Micra (also fitted to the earlier 300ZX31 models, I believe), otherwise it would be holed at the first bump. I also tried moving to a remote filter, but again the pipework was the problem. After much heartache, I learnt that the way to go is to fit the Filter Bracket, and also the standard pipework to the front of the car - then you can match up to a good Oil Cooler (I can recommend ThinkAuto as the supplier).   13. John, My car, a series 3, has the electrical HICAS and it is just a case of removing the fuse (footwell). I know Stillen does the manual HICAS eliminators (shown on their site) for the series 1 & 2 - I guess this may well be the one offered by Courtesy? I believe you remove all the HICAS, saving weight, and the eliminators/plates lock the wheels. Best regards Geoff

  15. Hi Pambos, The prices are good. Warning:- You also need to be prepared for the UK hit (GBP/Sterling equivalent) - 17.5% VAT; 6.0% Import Duty; Admin charge by the delivery company for tax & duty collection (varies between companies). You may be lucky, but you should be prepared for the worst. Still a good price though. Good luck. Geoff
