  1. Buy a Weller adjustable with seperate power station - look for something similar to the WS81... there expensive new, but if you can find a second hand one (say on ebay) then go for it - they are bomb proof and a used one will be fine. Dave
  2. When the battery is fully charged, the current drawn from the charger will be 0Amps.
  3. How do I remove the bootlid then? I want to completely remove the bootlid because it's damaged and I have an exchange part on a donor car to fit in place. Thanks in advance! Dave
  4. Nice black one near Tesco north end of Bognor Regis... I flashed at you from my BMW... Dave
  5. I'm 24... I've got a Mortgage, AND a 300zx... and work my balls off for the privilege! The 300zx was a supercar to look up to when I was much younger, now it's an achievable dream - that's probably why there are so many younger owners. Dave
  6. Fontwell is half way between Chichester and Arundel.
  7. >>i use to live quarter of a mile away from goodwood festival of speed I still do! And will be attending for certain! I haven't got the space to offer accomodation, but I may be of use for advice on hotels, b&b's and other local knowledge. Dave
  8. Im not a stalker, but i think I recognise your GT40 (from your sig) - we're you joining the A3 northbound at about 1500 on Thursday? I think you then came off at Purbrook? I was driving something interesting too (not my 300zx)... but the GT40 sounded better! Dave
  9. My A/C compressor has failed - the magnetic clutch is at fault, and the rest of the system works okay. It's a '92 N/A Import, fitted with a Zexel Compressor. I can only get hold of the Hitachi type compressor. Does anyone know where I can get a Zexel Compressor from (2nd hand), OR if the Hitachi Compressor will fit on the Zexel mounting points? pipe locations match? Pulley centre matches? Thanks, Dave
  10. I've gone religiously every single year since 1994 - wouldn't miss it for the world. Probably won't be taking the zed, it's not very good for carrying the cooker, gazebo etc. Always go from Wednesday through to Tuesday so needs lots of stuff! Look out for me honking at zeds from my Silver Subaru Forester. :hyper: Dave
  11. i *think* that zed has got "www.300zx.co.uk" stickers in the rear quarter windows. So I guess he must be a member. My 320d is pretty rapid... but no were near as quick as the 300zx. Infact, I had a New shape 330i Coupe for the last few months and that wasn't as quick as my N/A (standard except a thorough chipping and fettling by Mine's in Tokyo) Dave
  12. That'd be the Silver TT on Pound Farm Lane. I tried to chase him up the A27 earlier in my BMW 320d... couldn't get close. Dave
  13. >>dave could you get in toutch please. Sorry, only just read that! I'd PM you but i'm too tight to join up properly... :wack: email me / or post here if there's anything else I can help with. (dmonks@bigfoot.com) Dave
  14. A/C hasn't worked for a long time. Condenser was shot. I've replaced the condenser and had it regassed. All electrical systems are functioning okay - and the clutch operates and runs the aircon (and cools okay)... but draws 25amps to do so. (Obviously blowing the fuse, so I was operating it directly) Has anyone had this problem and managed to solve it? or Does anyone have a replacement clutch assy (or maybe a complete compressor) that I can buy from them? Thanks. Dave
  15. The 1.4l K-Series is a great little engine, big power/torque per liter compared to most other engines in that class. The dreaded HGF effects the 1.8l and 2.5V6 engines much worse, the 1.4l is pretty good actually. Check out my website for the technical nitty gritty of the problem - worth reading right through. http://www.mgfmavhh.ukf.net/ Dave
  16. Might come along. Will also invite my Dad (350z or Subaru SVX 3.3l) Dave
  17. Perhaps I saw you today? - A27 west bound near Fareham West junction at about 1330. Targa's off enjoying the sunshine! :)
  18. Theres at least 3-4 of us in and around Chichester.
  19. I'm DAVE!!! And got a Red Zed.
  20. HID designed projector lenses have concentric rings engraved on the inside face - ours don't. But then again, who cares - i bet it's a load of old bollux anyway. We should do a test, could someone with HID fitted take a photo of the pattern on there garage door? Then we can compare it to a standard car. Dave
  21. I feel bad now. But, the project I work on produces 453bhp from a 6.75l V12... it goes like shit off a shovel but only equates too 67bhp/liter - better than you lot but not much! Lets start talking torque!!! I bet the cummins wins by more than a bit! Dave
  22. Call me silly but... Cummins.... 45bhp/litre The Mini.... 51bhp/litre What went wrong? :x: Dave
  23. Were you in your Zed? I can't believe I didn't see you!
