  1. >>Burpham (1/2 mile away) lovely lowered red zed with 5 spokes on Me! I just posted about you in this section... I came out to see you when you stopped outside the house but you drove off too quick! (I don't live there, was at a colleagues bbq, I'm in the centre of Chi). Dave
  2. May also be me... I live in Chichester and quite often drive up that way... I look a lot like the pic above but N/A
  3. I was enjoying qa quiet afternoon bbq at a colleagues house, and the quiet evening was broken by a black 300zx with a big back spoiler... you stopped outside the house for a few moments... then away. You may have seen my Red N/A parked in the layby. dave
  4. Haha. You'll hate me for this... I'm an Electronics Engineer for Rolls Royce! I work partly in Goodwood and partly in Munich and usually have one of the Phantom family cars on my drive over the weekends for test work... :D However, I would have my balls slowly removed if I offered to help you out. :( Le Mans goers may have seen me last year on a test run. :)
  5. Cheers and thanks! :duffer: (Everyone have one on me).
  6. Perhaps you threw a balance weight soon after leaving? Maybe the bolts? maybe something trapped behind the wheel forcing it to sit at a funny angle?... take it back and tell them to sort it out!
  7. There wasn't many 800 Coupe's made - could explain the coincidence. With the 2.7 V6 it's a great car! Wish I hadn't sold mine :( ps. if you want a 2.0 Manual, I know someone selling a concourse condition minter on a P plate.
  8. LOL. coincidence actually... 400Nm is 295Lbft... and the new BMW V8 emmits 295g co2/k Dave
  9. 295 is the grams of C02 per km... The torque is 400Nm @ 3900rpm and 420hp. 0-60 is 4.6seconds. Can (a modified) 300zx really beat this car? with it's launch control etc If it can, can it do it more than once? I bet the BMW will do it all day without any hassle. Dave
  10. I'm admin on a different site... and though we DONT, we CAN read PM's. (VB board) Dave
  11. The law does not stand for modifications to the vehicle. The law is for manufacturers building new cars...
  12. Just an idea, but look at cast alu plenum's from cars with SU carbs (classic Mini's etc) - some of that stuff has pretty tight angles, but maybe not big enough diameter. e.g. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mini-Metro-Turbo-Plenum-Chamber_W0QQitemZ180194929921QQihZ008QQcategoryZ43122QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  13. Red K-Reg at Shell Garage was me!
  14. I use a Snooper Neo S6-R. Radar/Microwave/Laser and GPS. It works perfectly, but with all the separate bits and pieces it can clutter up the dash a bit. Dave
  15. I'm red and in the ports area... but it wasn't me! Dave
  16. I saw you! Silver zed on the road between Tetra Rouge and Porsche Curves roundabout!!!
  17. Nice TT Manual right at the entrance to MB at Le Mans. I had a look a few times - looked great! Dave
  18. I'll be there. Camping at MB. Possibly in the zed, but more likely in something bigger borrowed from work! Dave
  19. Red one with ferrari lights and high spoiler in the underground carpark at Gunwharf... AND a Black one heading into Pompey on the M275 at about 1530. Two in one day! Dave
  20. Watch the trip... is it actually turning all the time?! Does 65miles seem reasonable? Mine used to stick a lot. Dismantled it, cleaned and lubricated it and it hasn't missed a beat since.

Does this apply to the later body mounted seatbelts too?
  22. The instrument pack calculates speed and distance based on electrical pulses from the gearbox... the chip divides the pulse rate by the correct factor so the speedo thinks the car is doing 70kmh when it is actually doing 70mph... etc... The odometer will clock up in miles from the moment the chip was installed. Dave
