  1. Thanks for your reply ollie, I dont remember there being any warning light visable, however the car has been off the road for 3 years. I know i shouldnt have cut them.. i tend to do stupid regratable things like that. I am not just curious if the car thinking cats are hot will alter emissions of things like that. of i could atempt to join the wires together again.
  2. 300zx z32 non turbo when i removed the exhausts for repairs and replaced cat back with turbo exhausts i had trouble removing 2 sensors from the cat. so like an idiot i am cut through the braided wires coming down through the floor around the center consol. so my question...... how would NOT reconnecting these sensors effect the running and ecu stuff. not too bothered about lack of proformance of fuel consumption but more importantly, would the co level and all that be ok to pass an MOT ? what do people do with these wires when they fit them pipes instead of cats ? Thanks Danny
  3. Mowgs, Intrested in your offer, I have replied to your e-mail. Thanks.
  4. Oh and thank you also mowgs. i wouldn't be able to take it for free, i'd insist you took payment for it. i think your actually nearer than andy duff. if you could e-mail me ' danny.samworth@btinternet.com ' and we can discuss what where's whens and £££ thanks, danny
  5. Hey andy, thanks for that information and very kind offer. I cant Pm you as im not yet a subscribed member. But if you could be kind enough to e-mail me ' danny.samworth@btinternet.com ' regarding the sale of your rear quarter panel section thingy. cheers, Danny
  6. Thanks for the help and advice everyone. I think i will go with the option of buying a rear quarter section from someones old shell. I dont have the means or room to actually take the whole shell away with me. I think i will give up with body filler, the cars starting to lean one side !! Thanks, Danny
  7. I really need to find what ever is the cheapest, easiest option. See, after 4 days of owning the car it got that damage, and right then and there i should have wiped my chops and scrapped it. but i was still paying off over £3000 finance. I paid out over £250 for suspension parts, and wheel to get it back on the road. Then i burnt the clutch out and it has been of the road for over 18 months. I had a new clutch fitted, replaced the door, replacing the rusted exhausts, replacing the damaged tank (cheers pete) replaced a door mirror, replaced a targa panel ect ect. The car stands me in so much time and money i just cant go back. it would break my heart. even once all complete the car wont be worth FA, but i just need to get my moneys worth as for the week i drove it wasnt enough. I know now its gone beyond sense, the amount of work, time and money not to mention bad luck i have had all tells me to give up. But its now my mission to get that poxy car back on the road for as cheap as possible. Danny
  8. Has anyone replaced a rear quarter on a z32? I have been looking around body panel sites but cant find anywhere that do replacement rear quarter panels. Does anyone know of anywhere that sell ZX panels ? I found both o/s and n/s rear quarter panels on e-bay..... for a z31 :( Please have a look at pics of damaged quarter @ http://dannysamworth.tripod.com/zx_rear_quarter Any help or suggestions would be much apriciated. (as long as its not 'give up' and scrap it, because i know thats what i should have done a long time ago) ps.. an idea i keep thinking about is to 'cut' a section from a z that someone is breaking and replacing my mashed up thing !!!! or does that sound mental. cheers, Danny
  9. do i have to subscribe to be able to put pictures into posts ?
  10. Thanks for the help everyone, i wont be fitting them just yet as i had an idea of wire brushing the worst of the rust off and have discovered plenty of holes and splits... (they must have seen me coming). danny
  11. Hey Paul, Thanks for the reply.
  12. I have a z32 2+2 non turbo. (not on the road at the moment) My exhausts are the twin ports each side box. (is that typically the non turbo design) ? Anyway, the back boxes just swing about at the back as the rest of the pipes and rotted away. On closer inspection i found that the exhaust system from the cat to the back boxes have rusted to bits. Like a mug i am, i rushed out and brought a second hand exhaust system (cat - back) from a z32 2+2 "turbo". Its the type with just the big port on each box. Now im wondering if the TT exhausts will fit onto my N/A  PS, hope all that makes sense, im new to this site and to zx's. thanks Danny
