  1. Guys, My alloys on my zed are shocking and I want to replace them. ideally something that is wider at the back than the front to keep the same stance. With or without tyres considered. No real budget in mind
  2. nah, law states certain height OR age, as soon as they are 12. they do not require a booster seat.
  3. I have, and have yet to find anything. which suprises me. I suspect something probably exists - i mean if they allowed it in Australia with their super-tight legislation, then im sure it would/should be allowed over here.
  4. Guys, Im driving a ‘90 2+2 TT. Me and my little one love the car, the booster seat goes in the front and she comes out with me a lot of the time. Yet its not pratical when the wife needs to hop into the car too. The booster seat however fits terribly in the back of the Zed, I mean I cant help but feel its more unsafe for her to use the seat, rather than use the stock seating/restraints that are there. After surfing around, I saw an Australian driver having the same issue and he was able to get his car exempt from the childrens seats laws as they could see that it was much safer to seat the child without the booster device. Heres some pics to show what I came across. So what can we do here in the UK, can we get a similar exempt status over here? Any other ideas what I can do?
  5. cheers boss, ill text you shortly
  6. Wang me an email on the address further up the post mate. im hoping z32bolt will get me one, but a spare would be awesome :) Are you still up W-S-M way ? if so ill have to pop in and say hello!
  7. i do indeed need a fuse! feel free to send me a spare :p I have blown one at the end of the day, so would rather have peace of mind with replacing it with another fuse.. sods law if i bypass the fuse ill cause similar damage again and take the alt out! :)
  8. ah ok. sorry :) hope yo hear from you soon. TTFN
  9. I get this question all the time in the IT game, the honest answer first is to find out what is available to you. many companies like Sky rely on your exchange having their LLU enabled on your exchange, if it doesnt they loan lines from BT and the lines are even worse than that of BT. Your first port of call is http://www.samknows.com/broadband/broadband_checker . Post the results up on here and then we can provide you decent options out of what is actually available to you.
  10. Do you send me an email boss? I havent seen one come through :(
  11. Legend, thank you. will look forward to your mail.
  12. i respect that its a normal piece of wire, but it is rated to a certain load that is just lower than the altenator to ensure that if there idiots that tamper with the electrics (like me) they dont do any lasting damage! i would assume im sure its rated at 60 or 75A, but cannot say for deffinte. We deffintley need to hook up, i didnt know you were on this forum (but it makes sense that you are), but i admin/host (not own / modertate) the swjcc site and i had seen you around on there. Im actually in Ferndown these days. so this is near perfect. Can you wang me an email to zeegy@zeegy.net and I will deffo get back in touch.
  13. being an idiot i damaged the fuse and popped the battery fuse - i have rectified the fault and bypassed the fuse for now. but i deffintley do not want to keep it that way its the blue one on the end. my questions - whats the formal name for it, where can i find one and what ampage should it be rated at please? thanks for any help
  14. Hi guys, Just had the worst week ever, my missus left me after 5 years and dumped me by text, and i got my first bunch of stars on my license. what a crap week. Could anything else go wrong!? It did, I replaced the hoses for my engine->bulkhead that are the feeds for my heater matrix, i thought that the leak had ceased. brilliant! uh oh, i was wrong :( Theres still a leak coming from the rear centre of the engine bay, lower down from the matrix feeds. its so in-accessible that i cant even see the leak, just the water pissing from its location. Im guessing, its one of the turbo coolant hoses. How on earth Can i swap this out? I cant even see the pipe let alone get my hands up there to swap it out, can it be done without taking the engine out? If the latter, can someone advice of somone who would be prepared to do the work, used to use SWZ, but now he only breaks cars :( Im based in weymouth, so Dorset, Devon, or Somerset prefered.
  15. nah, not been using the aircon, the car was 'hissing' when i parked it up - it wasnt billowing water out like a mad man, but it was coming out and quite a rate, i cant find the source of the leak though.
