Got my copy yesterday and it's superb. Worked my way up from a Focus St to a new model Nissan GTR!!!! all within an hour or two........if only it was this easy in real life.......we can all dream.......AWESOME! Well worth it in my opinion.....go get it!

I have been having problems with my auto box for over a week now. The usual high revs before changing, only changing first to second(High revs) but not selecting 3rd and 4th? The problems seem to vary from day to day. Auto diagnostic for ECU says code 3...so fitted and set up a know good TPS sensor to the correct voltages, reset the ecu by leaving batt disconnected (over 1 hour). The fault code disappears and the power light stops flashing when ignition first switched. Leave car and re-start following morning to go to work and the dreaded power light is flashing again!!!!!!!! Also noticed power light flickering on even though in normal switch position. Power light also comes on when switched to Hold????? Not how it should be? Could it be as simple as the switch - which I have taken out and it seems ok? Gear changes all over the shop again and back to square one? Anyone got any ideas as I have checked all connections on ecu's, tps, temp sensors etc? Running out of ideas and patience .......bloody thing! :confused: Any help and advice greatly appreciated. I checked and set up the TPS with a multimeter but I suppose it could be reading high or low as the voltage is very small anyway. Maybe the meter is not sensitive or accurate enough at such low voltage?????? Would this make my car have these sort of gearbox probs though? Any other members come across this type of problem? Drove car today and the power light is now off but gear changes are too early now and it feels sluggish - shortshifting almost? Checked ecu's,TPS check and set, cleaned as many connectors as possible, checked all fuses in both panels?????? Have not a clue what which direction to look in - auto box shifts sweet when you manually shift it??? Is this pointing towards auto ecu as mechanically the box seems fine and has been for the past 18 months. HELP! :headvswal

FAO Andy.... Reset ECU and connected battery this morning - Started ok as usual with power light out. Ran for approx 30 secs then power light flickering and then on solid. Tryed an auto box diagnostic test and came up fault code 3 TPS again?????? Tryed switching using power/hold switch and it then goes out when in hold position. Stays out for a short period then power light back on - even though switch is in normal position??????? Any idea were to go from here - ? ECU loom plug check? Pulling whats left of my thinning hair out!!! LOL Cheers, Nigel

Ok thanks Andy, I left my car in our work unit this evening with battery disconected so should be well and truly reset by tomorrow - LOL At least the car will have a dry night for a change! Cheers Bud!

Just replaced the TPS and set up as described here on the forum. I was getting eratic gear changes on the auto box, high idle etc. Power light for auto box staying on now after flashing to say that I have a fault stored in the ECU? Cannot get the light off by using centre console switch???? ECU code is code 3 - TPS sensor??????? I need help...............................Please Battery disconected at moment to reset ECU? Any ideas or advice warmly welcomed................... Could anyone tell me the best place to buy a new TPS please? Nissan dealer did not want to know....made some poor excuses about it being a Jap import etc. I have code 3 fault on the auto box ecu diagnostics and the box is changing all over the place.....mainly near the red line! Would consider a used one as long as its proven a good en' Cheers.

My rad let go in the same place last week on my way back from Southport - managed to plastic weld the thing and it has been ok up until a new one arrived on Friday - fitted today and all is now superb again! Cost £129.00 including next day delivery - bargain!

Hi Dave, I replaced my Jap n/a set for a Jap TT set and all works perfectly but I can't comment on the UK TT swap over? I reckon it would work though and would be interested to hear how things go. Good luck, Nigel

Hi Scrawni, You can say that again...........sorry to hear your frustrations but this is just par for the course with todays UK business attitudes. Good service and customer relations is a long distant memory and it seems to be the norm these days..........if I had this lax attitude and piss poor performance in the job I do though, my arse would be well and truly reamed and my P45 inserted at the same time!!!! I have just had a morning of trying to get an electricity bill sorted with N Power, they are a useless bunch of ****wits there too.............I did give the guy a good peice of my mind though, but it got me knowwhere......INCOMPETENCE RULES AND **** IT......YOU ARE GONNA HAVE TO PUT UP WITH IT......seems to be the rule of thumb. I am in the same boat as you luckily and will be leaving this mess for a better life down under at the end of the year..............can't fookin wait I tell thea!
