  1. Yet again were holding another joint Supra and Z meet. This time in the Grounds of Carrickfergus castle followed with a costal drive up the North coast to Portrush for a photoshoot. Visit http://www.supras-ireland.net for details
  2. Yup, if he opened the bleed valves to pry the calipers open, then he will need to rebleed and it can take forever. You also need to start the car between the bleeds to get the Brakebooster bled as well.
  3. If you leave it off, you will be running at the wastegate preset which is 7psi. Same psi as safety boost but with out the ignition retard (this isnt safety boost as you've by passed the wategate VSV which gives you 7psi).. Car will run fine.
  4. clarkey this was after about 10 minutes on idle after cold startup? didnt bother taking it out for a run - couldnt see the point if just running on 5. Though as its been sitting, may as well stick a thermo on the to do list :-)
  5. Rad fine, noticed secondary fan come on after the hard start which led me to believe it was the temp sensor. temp gauge sits just around 1/3 of the way, it also pulled really good vacum which led me to think nothing was amiss in the cylinder or head department. will wait on results from a comp test before going any furthur i think...
  6. yeah cleaned an inspected what i could clarkey. apparently car has been stood up for a year but was started once a month. Its a 92 jap and looks like the original PTU in it, so im hoping thats the culprit. Times like this is wish i had of bought Consult lol M
  7. went to look at a tt last night. was down on one cyliner. changed plugs and coilpacks no difference. if after doing a compression check (and it proves fine) and changing the PTU and its still not cured i take it the injector could be faulty? or have i over looked something? also, when the engine was hot, there wasnt much pressure in the coolant pipes (could squeeze with my hand) which i thought a little strange? it was also a bitch to start again when warm, so i guess it could be linked to the first problem outlined or a dodgey temp sensor? Any help appreciated. M
