  1. mmmmm, the V-Spec,something satisfying about that Badge on the boot of a Skyline:D oh,and have they realy come down that much in price last year or so;) no no no no no i must not think that,no,no,help where's me tablets:eek: :D
  2. Stirs the blood does that:D at the moment my son Jamie is building a 1/10 scale RC of the 300zx TT Imsa GTS TA 02W ,identical to pics, with 4x4 drive, one hell of a kit,no longer made but there are a few knocking around on EBAY,awsome Z:cool: :)
  3. Been out and had another look, got the other one that came with it and it looks different slighty, maybe its cut wrong, will swap em over me thinks, see what it looks like,if same its coming off(its getting on me tits anyway):D :D ;)
  4. Yep WillieO,my thoughts, well toasted,i was going to get it re built but probably not worth it now,the whole lot prob needs changing in there, plus one thing that has bugged me and previous owner, this engine is from an Manual, but me Z an auto, prior to this engine being fitted it used to run 13 sec quarters, then it went pop on a rolling road, then was fitted with an manual engine, then it would not run better than high 13s and low 14s,John did say it never felt the same mid torgue,so after having a talk with the Mechanic that will do the job he recomends using the newly acquired Auto engine, and i would like to get it back to a normal Auto to be honest,so we will se if its quicker and performs better in genral, could be all tosh off course and all in the mind:D ;)
  5. Ok check this out,if i go more to the left it will loose the end N nearly,so ,what ya think, been cut on the piss or design to look like it,dont forget mine is inbetween two lines sort of,but Simmo303 has not got to worry with that wher his is,so maybe its just not high lighting it as much;)
  6. mmmmmmmmmm,:D will re check tommoro,if it wont line up its in the bin:D ;)
  7. Well Stuart, thats what i thought at first when i got them, but the graphics have been cut that way,if you look at one side its not quite the same design as on other side,if you look at Simmo303 pic you can see the slight difference, will do one in daylight tommoro, might look better:D ;) ps if you look at the word Nissan its spot on level and centre, ;)

  9. Put mine on last week, finaly took a pic but it was dark:rolleyes: still undecided but looks the part according to some,so will leave it ,see if i get used to it,fits a treat on centre panel:D
  10. Thats a real shitter mate,what a *******,feel for you:mad:
  11. What about exhaust wrap, got it from down pipes back to middle, certainly stops plenty of heat,if ya wrap det senor loom with it ,would stop heat getting to it,just a thought;)
  12. Took it out for run, same as before, top end sounds not to healthy even more, lumpy on one side (this was syptom a few months back when i got it on Conzult at Jeffs, but slowly got better over the weeks, but compresion still low)put screwdriver tip on plenum etc and handle end into ear trick, and its well rattely, plus a small bottom end knock,to sum up,its well tired, well fooked:D so finger out,now getting transplant and a few other bits sorted on it;) still gonna be crapping myself that all goes well, hate the idea of being without it for a month or so from October:( ps,would allso mention that i took off oil filler cap and theres shit loads of smoke coming out(engine was hot!)any pointers, piston rings etc:confused:
  13. Cheers Ed, will run it local for a day or so,see what happens as to wether it gets worse or stops or whatever,i am not to worried as to state of engine as i have another to go in now,so i should pull me finger out and get it done over the autum/winter, bit botherd about it being turbos or not more than anything,is it possible to test em when engine out,of just best to get em refurbed anyway,;)
  14. mmmmmmmm, funny you should mention water in oil,i checked oil after not running it all week till friday, the cap had the smallest amount(and i mean minute)of grey substance mixed in with oil on underside of cap,i thought maybe this was down to me not using it and a bit of moisture building up,but around 5 weeks ago when it was realy hot, temp gauge went well high, outside temp was 37c and me aircon was on with me stuck in traffic for ages, and i had to top up with about 1.5 litres of water, have got new rad cap and aftermarket temp sender wired up now and no prombs, maybe its related but if it is head gasket why did it not start soon after overheating, could a knackerd oil ring cause same symptoms:confused:

Nice one mate, and the cost of this was:D :)
  16. Ok,have looked at all the search results and still not sure on this,i have as most know been running with 80psi on No1(lookin at engine from front its farthest to rear on right,(or is that No 6 cant remember:rolleyes: )and have maybe knackerd valve in there!,i do a 30 mile trip to see b19rks ,no problems,on way back going a good stomp down A5,i had to back off quick then in my mirror see shite loads of blue to black smokewhile coasting down, car running well i put foot down to look again, same thing happens, smoke seemed to come from both sides, when got home it did smell of light oil burn, today went out for a run of 20 miles today and had same smoke now on acceleration and when it had cleared backed off and it came back, one minute its on the right, then the left, The exhaust note is what you would call fluttery on nearside(side with crap vave, low comp etc)like a very low miss fire, engine tickover ok and still at 800rpm,i know i should have got engine sorted a long time back but due to things out of my control i have had to use it all summer, and i have done a far few miles, its probably shagged now, just a little concerned as to it being the turbo,s as there 15 months old ,roughly,so should be ok i would off thought, any ideas people, cheers
  17. ,impressed, will try to do it myself next week:eek: i aint no chippy so it will look awfull i bet,John how did you fix them together, big long nails or bolts, cant make it out in pic fore certain;)

This is well cheap, even with postage:eek: ;) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6763&item=2431734730&sspagename=Merch06 ooops only 35 mins left, should come back on though;)
  22. Is it true that if you were to say trade it in a dealer will not touch it,just something someone said to me once:confused:
  23. Thats true, but, the gradient is too steep to quick, have tried with my own,and on way down, even if ya got it up ,would probably rip the front bumber off mine, and if you were to reverse up theres no way mine will make it much past the rear bumber, the ramps hit it as you push them up to wheel, but as far as i can see,the wood ones would be perfect, nice easy gradual increase in height,:)
  24. Have you tried http://www.whifbitz.co.uk he had em in a couple months back(the Greddy e-01)
