We have to wash out the radiator cores on our gennys and aircon units approx every 5-6 weeks out here as they get clogged with dust very quickly. Its ok to use a jet wash as long as you dont get too close and you hit the fins straight on and not from an angle although that mostly just affects the aircon units. hth Mark

Are you sure they replaced the knackered tubs???? I`m no expert but if they frigged the wastegates open permenantly wouldn`t that give the same symptoms? The tubs wouldn`t smoke cos they wouldn`t be boosting and the car would be dog slow.

It looks like a major PITA to close them from the inside though, the handles must be at least 6' up in the air
