  1. yeah,i know what you mean! ive just taken the panel off and loads of bits of broken plastic fell out! gonna have to try and find someone who is braking one!
  2. ah thats what id hoped! if i can see the problem i should be able to sort it out even though im not good at these things. cheers mario. lovely zed by the way. love the spoiler.
  3. hi all,my central locking works on my sigma alarm, but i noticed the other day that it wasnt and god knows how long ive been walking around leaving it unlocked. its still making the right noise(all the clicking and such) but its not clicking over. when im inside the car i cant lock it either, when i push the lock over its just clicking over but its got no resistance and its not locking. so ive been locking it with the key and then it flips over! i was thinking about getting at it with a screwdriver, any ideas?
  4. didnt even realise you could subscribe! cheers mate,i will def check it out!
  5. yeah i just read that guys post about the 96 he is selling. having read that and all these posts lately i now know that mine is a lwb 96 series 4 version s,n/a,auto,black cloth interior, all standard and ive just had the cam belt done with mjp auto's,he's done all the work since day one on it. knowing all this it seems more beneficial to keep it standard. just had it m.o.t'd last week and they said it needs a ball joint in the front suspension replaced but not urgent(still passed) so ive booked it in with mike again, also the bloody cenral locking has stopped working with the alarm so ive got to use they key all the time now! he's gonna sort that too and then it will be 100% just reading the posts on this site has told me so much already! its good! i mean i know these are good cars and ive always loved em but its nice to have this site where everybody loves em! not like buying a focus eh?
  6. nah, mine is a n/a! phew! ok to amend then...i prefer the tt front bumper! while we are on this subject mine is a 2+2 and it looks so much longer than most on this site. do many people have 2+2's?
  7. erm, you've got me there,i assumed mine was standard,i saw one down the workshop with with 3 vents either side of the front bumper at the bottom but mine is just smooth all the way round, dont know how to post photos, but there are examples of both on google images. i prefer the ones with 3 vents at each side...which one is mine then? (without seeing it)lol
  8. having checked(thanks for the link takemetothepub) ive got a series 4 with the wierd rear spoiler,i used to hate that spoiler and was determined to change it but i kinda like it now,i still dont like the front bumper on my series though, much prefer the earlier ones! all of this is news to me,so...great thread!
  9. ive just had mine serviced and the oil changed and the guy put in millers xfs 5w-40 synthetic which he swore was the best! please dont tell me its not! erm so is it? (can of worms, can of worms, can of worms)
  10. hello mate,i had an erratic idle problem on mine too, seems to be quite common,i took it to mike feeney(mjp autos) who is in brentwood which shouldnt be to far from you. he is on the traders page and is a good guy,i go to him for everything now!lol although my problem was solved it still hunts for revs a bit when i put the air con on but without it on it seems ok. cant remember what he did,i know he tried a differnet air flow meter and it didnt change it so he cleaned some stuff and tuned it and its ok now but was well rough at one time. good luck mate
  11. will do! lol my neighbour was walking by with his little boy the other day and he said to him"wow daddy..a ferrari" and his dad said" nah its a datsun" lmao! what a w****r!
  12. ah width ways,so basically, how they lay on the roof but in the boot eh? if thats what you are saying then its logical i suppose, dont know how i missed it! its prob the only way i never tried it! lol cheers muffin! gonna try it now in the rain so my neighbours think im mad! lol
  13. cheers mate! enjoy your grub!
  14. ha ha,i know! its hard to describe but i normally put em,drivers side first, kind of normal way up,the end with the handle at the boot end with the passengers just on top of it the same way but they do slide and the other day before this crap weather started i heard a crunch in the boot whllst going round the corner and when i checked a bit of plastic had broke off the edge! pee'd me off! lol
  15. yes,in a v shape, seems like you have to stack them on top of each other and then strap em down but what way round to stack em? the strap doesnt seem to hold em tight enough! its a bit of a crappy strap to be honest.
