Mine is a 93 slick top it had a new rear spoiler on the back due to some delightful little blessing in Wales deciding to walk up the bonnet over the roof and then jumping off the original spoiler breaking it plus a mate kicking the driver's door mirror off . So its had all that repaired about 3 years ago .next plan is a full respray new cats ,seats due to the leather turning into cardboard overnight?? Don't know why ? Then fit a boost controller to tease a bit more without going overboard and hopefully when we're allowed out to play meet up with some of you guys. As for the handling I've had a lwb and swb and loved both for different reasons . The tin top is a more focused drive bit more tight to drive but very very satisfying. The 2+2 felt more relaxed and pliable very stable at higher speeds but still very fast and great fun to use when pushing some so called quick BMW 's and I have to say surprised a few mx5 and MR2 Mk3 owners through the twisty stuff. Generally I just think if it's a zed 300zx tin top or 2+2 or 350z or 370z doesn't matter they all have the DNA and are great cars perhaps one day they will get the recognition they rightly deserve.

Hi I've just joined up yesterday do you guys know where I can get my seats re-trimmed I've got a 93 slick top and the leather seats have turned to cardboard? Don't know why ? I'd like them done somewhere that won't mean me having to sell the wife's body to prostitution. It didn't work last time I tried the poor bloke is still having his teeth fixed and I still need my seats doing ! HELP!

It's a twin turbo slick top . Unfortunately the cats have collapsed and are restricting the exhaust so when you open her up she's choking herself.

I've had a t,top and have a slick top as well I think what we have to say they are both made by Nissan and are great cars ! I loved my 2+2 T,top it was fast handled very well and was fairly practical day to day use. As for driving it with the panel's out ? Well me and my son went out for a drive it was a good excuse for 2 blokes to look cool ok ? So there we are going down the road looking cool really stretching the zed legs ! So we come into a well known Yorkshire town where all the tourists are and we're looking cool .But as we drive by all the people we realise people are looking at the car the busting into laughter ? So being cool blokes we stare straight ahead and pretend we haven't noticed the obvious mirth of onlookers. It wasn't until we pull up for a coffee and turned and looked at each other I looked at my son and said "here your hair is stuck straight up you look a right pratt" he replied 'so is yours " because of the roof was off our hair was being groomed upwards for about 2hrs ! ? we looked like Jedwood ????? So now being a man of a certain age I'm all in favour for the tin top so people look at the car not me! The wife suggested I could have put a cap on but I guess she had forgotten I look like a pratt in a hat ! ??? So I'm not really bothered which one you own or prefer both are fantastic cars why else did Nissan go racing them. Look at the racing history ! Interesting fact about the zed it was put up against a Porsche, Supra,Mitsubishi 3000,Toyota Mr2,Honda NSX, It came 2and only being beaten on points by the NSX . It's worth pointing out at this time the zed was nearing the end of its production having already been around for ten years. In my opinion all zeds are great cars ! Let's enjoy them and each other's experiences in owning one .?

If you're running a zed your going to have no money anyway ???? I'm glad fuel prices have eased a bit ! At least I can drive it more at weekends .

Hi I've just joined and have a question . I own a 93 slick top and need the following , Door window seals, and some decat pipes can you possibly point me in the right direction as I've just got the car back on the road and need to crack on and get it sorted or my dearly beloved will make me sell it ! And then I will be forced for ever to drive a Toyota Mr2 Mk3 . Which is a great little sports car ....but it's not a zed . HELP!!!!!
