what does it mean when a cars is detonating??? i've read posts about people haveing it but never understood what it meant

How many miles on average shuld I be getting from a tank of fuel. I mainly do town driving, and seen to be getting just over 200 miles! I only put my foot down now and again. Thanks

mine was, until I changed the bushings, which is not the easiest job to do

Hi all, Thanks for all your advise on buying my Z, I never will go to Birmingham again to buy one. I evetually brought one yesterday from Yeovil. Its a Black TT 1994 M reg. I have a query though: after driving it around for about an hour, when I stop and leave it idle for a minute, then turn it off, it smells like buring oil or something like that. Is there anyone who lives in Reading who could have a look at my Z and make sure its ok. Thanks
