just got an insurance quote for a 96 nissan micra 1.0 gx, put ourlass on as a named driver only having aq licencse for one month, fully comp £100 excess

 

came to £290, looks like i may be getting a second car then

 

hopefully when the wench passes her test she will have a little car of her own

thats not a bad quote, and the little micras are ok as runabouts, very good on fuel and being a nissan, very reliable, watch out for rust though, they are bad fot it :smash:

i think they are worse actually lol !, the last one i tried welding, i spent 3 whole days, a full roll of wire and wasnt even close, in the end i scrapped it :smash:

it was a weigh it against time/cost etc.

I bought the car for 75 quid, i spent loads trying to weld it, it had no tax, mot etc, i could weld it, and it could fail miserably, when i could go spend a couple hundred quid on another shitter for a runaround.

 

I chose the latter :duffer:

yup, whereas if it had been something like a Zed, i would have kept welding even if nothing original remained :cool:
