Hi there,

I thought that I'd register with the 'site, as I'm talking myself into buying my first 300Zx.

I'm a mature driver and want to own one of these beasts before I become too old and decrepit

I've driven various Nissans over the past sixteen years, Primeras, Almeras, a QX and very briefly a 200Zx. I work in the Motor Trade and have spent at least twelve years dealing with Nissans.

Anyway - the idea is to buy a 300Zx, turbo model, automatic, leather interior with all the toys.

Hopefully you'll be able to advise me and maybe point me in the right direction in the near future.

I look forward to the experience.

Regards - Andy

Thanks for that zx-eyes,

What's the chance of picking up a zed in my required specs, auto, leather, unmolested for £2000 - £2500 ?

Your welcome mate :)

And in the current climate, you have a very good chance of picking up what you want for the price you want :) Just be sure to concentrate on the mechanical condition of the vehicle ;) And go for the very best one you can afford, otherwise you may end up with a money pit!

Be very diligent and have a look at as many as you can, and drive as many as you can, get a feel for them if possible :)

HTH :)

Hi Andy,

and welcome to the club.

I pass Dunmfy of my way to Kirkcaldy most days.

Keep an eye on the Events and Meeting (Scotland) section - there'll probably be a local meet soon.

Good opportunity so see different cars and get first hand advice.

And don't worry about being a mature driver - you'll probably still be one of the youngest there:)

Coming along to a meet sounds like a good idea, I'll keep my eyes open.

Not worried ata all about being a mature driver, it has it's benefits - namely cheap insurance for large engined cars

Regards - Andy
