Rich666
I had a newer c180... it was ok, boring to drive and riddled with electrical faults... that said, the older mercs (and newer ones now they've sorted their reliability quite a lot) are pretty decent cars... years ago had a 2.6 190e which was pretty good in an old school way! wouldn;t say good on fuel though! i'd get low 30's from mine, although I never drove it particularly easy. zx-eyes
That seems very pricey for a 1995 1.8 C-Class with 168k Miles on the clock!  However if you are considering something like that, be very diligent looking for signs of rust, as they do tend to be going at that age, both mercs and bmws! HTH :)

Looks ok from the pics mate :) However i know it sounds blunt, but feck the colour! Pick one that is running perfect and is gonna serve you well ;) :) Also i'll say it again, check mercs and bmws of that age for signs of corrosion, they are prone to it :(
ck300z
Well i prefer the e36 318 to the merc, ive owned 2 e36's over the years there pretty good cars for a run around though i would poss consider a bmw compact (hatchback) think they where released in 1.6 and 1.8 guise !
