DTA (UK)
Am moving house & (temporarily at least) my cars wont be garaged, Informed insurance co. (who want additional premium!)- quelle surprise, rodders, as delboy would say. Has anyone fixed one of those security bollards in their drive, how effective/ cost? etc etc- Hi, Yes, I did this when I lived in Birmingham. It was one of those multi coloured posts that's secured to the ground and folds away. I think it cost me about £70 to buy and took around 30 minutes to fix to the floor. It's more of a visual deterent than anything else as proven by my other half who reversed over it and bent the pole the "wrong" way. Problem was that she couldn't see it when she was in the car ... Anyway, so long as you're aware it's there it does what it says on the tin. But, it is only as good as the method used to secure it and the locking mechanism. I'm afraid I can't remember where I got it from (was an online store) so can't help with that. Good luck with the house move!
